    To push the shad up you simply put your hand on the bottom and push up. To pull them down I grab onto the bottom of the rolled edge from behind and gently pull down. I like to do it with two hands evenly placed to make sure they go up and down evenly.

    Can these be shortened?

    We do not recommend cutting the shade because it will void the manufacturers warranty.

    I bought the exact width after reading reviews as the shade is 1/2” smaller width wise than the size ordered ( as explained) . I wanted shorter shades than what was available but they did not come in the length I needed. It is fine having the extra length as you only pull them down as much as you need

    The blinds are a beautiful color and were easy to install. I lower and raise them every morning, so hopefully they will last! I'm a little OCD, so I have to get over the slight (very slight) unevenness on each side when they're pulled down. The only thing I don't like is they have very limited sizes for the length of the blind. I needed a few much shorter than 68" and they weren't available. That being said, I just ordered 8 more for the rest of the house!

    Generally easy to assemble but the wingnut/bolt combination that you use to secure the rail is so short that you barely have two turns to ensure a secure fit. And I expected driftwood gray to be just that, a little more gray but its more on the brown side.

    I already have a set of these shades in my kitchen and I love them so I bought another set for my dining room. The new ones that came in were not built the same as my existing ones. My brackets are spaced 33 inches apart but the slits in the shade only allow these to be installed on brackets 27-32 inches apart. Seems like a defect. My husband just used a saw the extend the slits to the end of the wood (which is how our first set already came) so after that modification we were able to install them. Aside from that... these shades are beautiful, modern and very clean looking. I love them!
