A: You could install in the end of 1/4 tube and clip it on the stake, like a small hose to water bigger plants maybe

A: the side piece is removed from the stake (sharp knife works best) and placed over the end of the 1/4" tubing.

A: My little buddy said that the round piece is the "bug trap" and you put it on the end of your emitter tubing at the plant. The rectangular piece is the top clip that you fasten on the top of the stake to make the assembly firm. Just snip off both of the pieces and attach them as I described. I think Mo finally got that.

exactly what I was looking for. The stake holds my quarter inch tubing securely and gives me the ability to move the tube around to better water the plants. Much better than the pins I was using.

These are very flimsy and it seems the mico tubing pops out of these after about a week or so.

Very well designed and easy to use. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and the built-in clip maintains the gripping force of the stakes hose retainer over time as the plastic gets hot in the sun. Also has a "bug" cap to keep the critters out of the 1/4 hose if there is not flow regulator installed. Recommended
