A: The voltage is determined by your controller - it's still AC, and is probably in the 10-12v range, low amperage. Consult your controller for exact details.

A: It could be.....but why. If you only had one circuit then it would work, but you would have a system with two valves inline. If you had more than one circuit then you would have to have two timers. One to open the Main Shutoff and another one to open each circuit. You would not be able to use the same timer to open the main and each circuit. Most locations require a backflow preventer which has a manual shutoff anyway so there is no reason to use an electric valve.
A: Shouldn't be any problem as it works by an electric solenoid and water pressure doesn't have anything to do with it.
A: Rain Bird recommends a minimum pressure of 15 PSI for proper operation (opening and closing) of the valve. Hope this helps!
