no but there is an adapter that can be glued on that has a threaded male end

Can this pipe be cemented to pvc 40 pipe fittings.

No, this pipe isn't glue friendly, there are a variety of fittings, but it isn't meant to hold pressure for extended periods. Great landscaping piping for sprinklers, and temporarily moving water from one place to another with a pump or by gravity, but again, no extended periods of pressure.

Would it be ok to run 10 to 15 feet of this to move a head over?

I use it everywhere that does not "hold" pressure. Pressure within the line is only generated when on and with proper sprinkler spacing it will never generate enough pressuremto blow out the line. PVC gets brittle and breaks easy if you happen to hit it while digging. If you damage this product you just throw in a quick barb and you are all good again.

If you use their angles and ends, they're pressed fitted, meaning, if used for their intended purpose for irrigation and not to keep pressure when not in use, then you don't need clamps for this system. A pull-tie at the end maybe if you're worried about a connection under something like a sidewalk, but they work great when installed properly. And if you cut it with a shovel after install, it's an easy fix, you just cut it straight and press in a 2 sided straight connector and bury it again.

This is designed to connect a sprinkler to a main line. You insert swing pipe fittings into each side of the tubing. One fitting connects to the main line and the other to a sprinkler.

Good quality, flexible, and very durable/strong. Installed it to add several underground sprinkler heads about a foot or so deep. I compacted clay, subsoil, & sod over it. A month later, after several thunderstorms which further compacts the soil, everything is still working great. I have full confidence this will continue performing for 10+ years with no issue. Surpassed my expectation.

Good Stuff
Tubing bends easy enough and hard to kink. Cuts easy with pruning shears. Try submerging tube in very hot water for a minute or 2 before trying to push in barbed fittings. This softens the hose and makes it much easier to work with. I boiled some water on the stove, then poured it into a mug that I brought outside to my work site. Just let it thoroughly cool before applying water pressure.

Only hose that worked with rainbird couple
The rainbird 1/2” couplers which home depot carries will not fit the 1/2” 2ft Obit hoses. You have to get this one. Too bad that they don’t carry a smaller roll

Was going to use this funny pipe for my lawn irrigation but found out that you shouldn't use anymore than 3 feet of it when attaching it from a water source to a sprinkler. Apparently the flow rate is compromised the more you use. Completely killed my irrigation project idea of running this pipe above ground to 5 zones of sprinkler heads. Had to take it back.

Response from Rain Bird MarketingApr 12, 2021
Sorry to hear you are not satisfied. This tubing is designed to run a short distance from a main water line to a sprinkler. It is not intended to be the primary water line for an irrigation system.
