How long are the wires? It doesnt seem to say in the specs

I don’t recall exactly as it’s been two years since I installed it. It was long enough to reach my controller which is about 6 feet away. You can call them and they will answer your questions.

Replacing one do you have to run the wire or can you just connect to the wire that is already there

You could splice into the wire that is already there.

Is this compatible with Toro controller?

It’s likely compatible with most controllers, including Toro. It’s just one circuit, no computer chips or anything to be incompatible. If your Toro controller supports a rain sensor, I think it would support this one

Can I hook it to two different controllers, and ho long of a wire run can i have?

Asked by JimR May 1, 2019

Answer

I think there is 25 feet of wire but you can extend by using wire nuts and some more wire. The sensor is basically a make or break circuit and so I'm sure that you could run two units off it as long as they both have the same conditions. By that I mean that both units require a break in the circuit when there is rain.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t, you just have to remove the jumper connection, and it should work just fine. If all else fails YouTube it!

Easy to install, but unknown if the unit works well since there has not been any rain to check. The mechanism is quite simple and the old unit could have easily been repaired by replacing only the switch, if it was made available. Since the old wiring went underground, I twisted and soldered the connect wiring, then applied heat shrink insulation tubing. I had to replace the new bracket with the old bracket because it was too short. A small level is handy.

Easy install, but it would have been nice if it came with a large staple or something to attach the wire on the edge of the eave and the wall. Smaller size than other rain sensors, so less obtrusive.
