Q:We got this tile for our new shower floor and seat. When it was set it was beautiful but after grouting most of the stones changed color to brown and cream looks horrible. Is there anything we can do to fix it? I am really upset and spent a lot of money

Answer This Question

A:  We ordered the same floor. It has been in the shower for 3 months and still looks great. I would look into the minerals that are in your water and the slope of the tile leading to the drain because the discoloration could be caused by either of those issues.

      The stones changed color after grouting
      We purchased this tile for the floor in our new shower. The colors were a perfect match to the walls of the shower we did in bright white subway tile with a silver and grey glass tile accent. When this tile was set it looked beautiful. After the grouting that was a light grey and after it dried some of the tiles turned to brown and the white ones turned a cream color and it looks horrible and doesn’t match at all! I do not know what to do I have asked for help so we will see if it can be fixed I have spent lots of money already on this tile!
