Product Overview

Ramsond proudly introduces its new Sunray DC to AC Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter - Nearly a decade of research and development and real-world testing under demanding conditions have produced one of the most sophisticated power inverters in the world. Ramsond SunRays are advanced and reliable, producing pure (true) sine wave power for sensitive electronic equipment. Pure sine wave output is a far superior (cleaner) form of output power compared to modified sine wave or square wave power as utility company AC power is pure sine wave. Extremely rugged and powerful, yet compact and lightweight, Ramsond SunRays can be used for a wide variety of applications from home to business to jobsite and beyond. SunRays feature user-friendly LED displays and alarms that show real-time live data and information about the working conditions of the inverter, load and battery bank. They are also engineered for superior heat reduction and cooling, featuring ruffled heat sink fins and multiple internal fans. Ramsond inverters are tested and certified to be compliant with safety standards and are ETL listed.
  • Rated DC input (Volt) - 12-Volt (10.5-Volt - 14.5-Volt)
  • AC output (Volt) - 115Volt +/- 10%
  • Output frequency - 60 Hz
  • Peak power output - 3000-Watt
  • Continuous power output - 1500-Watt
  • Precision extruded anodized aluminum shells, preventing corrosion and increased wear resistance
  • Ruffled heat sink fins provide increased surface area for cooling and control air flow
  • Equipped with three high speed rear fans, thermostatically controlled and will automatically engage when the internal temperature increases
  • Remote-ready for both wireless and wired control systems (remote system not included) using standard telephone cabling and connectors
  • ETL listed and certified to comply with standards for safety by Intertek Laboratories and a government approved testing laboratory

i have 320 watt panel, 2 deep cycle battery 12v-55 Ah,40A 12V/24V MPPT Solar Panel Charge Controller, is that ok for this inverter to run my pond pump is 1200 watt 24/24 Thanks loi
Asked by: van
Your solar panel capacity is too low. If they are the only source for charging the batteries, the pump and inverter will drain the batteries. You need 3 more panels to carry that load during peak daylight hours. The batteries do not have enough capacity to carry the load when solar panels are not delivering 1500 watts.

Can this unit be connected to the battery in my truck and supply power for a limited time to my house during a power failure? Mainly interested in running my furnace and fridge for short periods if the grid power is out!
Asked by: Baka
Yes, though depending on the power requirements you may have to run the vehicle outdoors to keep up with the power demand.

What size cable is required to run from the batteries?
Asked by: Mark
4 Gauge copper cable minimum for anything within 10 feet, bigger cable (lower gauge) is better.

It powers the apartment fridge in my RV and can run an AC unit with nothing else attached (must have primed battery though). Lets you know how much voltage is coming off the battery and turns off when there is not enough charge left. Had it for ~3 months and use it about once every two weeks for 1 to 2 days when boondocking. The need for massive cables for the thing to work was the only drawback, but this annoyance was a result of my ignorance of what was needed for the install. Make sure you buy the correct hook up kit with the shortest cables possible so you don't lose power in the cables. I give it an excellent because it's doing everything I have asked it to do in the short time I've owned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a recent purchase I got this pure sine wave inverter primarily to power my pellet stove. Living in rural Vermont means there will be times in the long Winter when line power is out. The pellet stove needs power to run combustion air and distribution blowers. Since the stove draws about 1.5 amps, this inverter has no trouble providing the juice required. I did follow the recommendation on wire gauge from the battery pack to the inverter to reduce line loss, which can be very significant if improperly gauged wire is used. The battery bank is 2 6 volt 220 AH golf cart batteries wired in series with a single 12 volt 112 AH deep cycle marine battery wired in parallel for 12 volts and 332 AH. 2 45 watt solar panel arrays charge the batteries through a 10 amp solar charge controller. i did a bit of research and believe this inverter gives me the biggest bang for the buck. At some point, I'll need a bigger soar panel array, larger inverter AND battery bank to run the household off-grid. But as a first foray into off-grid power, this gives me lots of experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, a great purchase------- I have this little inverter installed at my cabin, and thus far it has performed above my expectations. Thus far, it has been very lightly loaded, and only in the evenings, but I have yet to see the cooling fans kick on. My wife uses a CPAP, and thanks to a couple of deep cycle RV-Marine batteries, I only see about a 2/10 voltage drop over night. I'm sure that is not only due to the quality of the battery installation, but also due to the low power demands of the inverter itself. My only complaint woud be that because I ordered the unit on line, I could see no way to ask for the 10% "Combat Veteran" discount that I always receive by shopping in store, by showing a copy of my DD-214.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from RUN Very poor service response. Came out of the box BAD, called service support and they said it was bad fans and that they will send me new ones and they will be here on Monday! So after not receiving them I called again, 3 days later they arrive. Guess what didn't fix the problem? I decided it was time to send the pile of junk back to them to fix, but all no, have your credit card handy, they are going to charge you even under warranty to repair it, parts and labor are free, cough. So why throw good money after bad? Will be buying something else to replace it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good product for the price. Recommend putting a 25amp fuse on both neg and positive leads from battery to double the protection of shorts. The internal 30 amp fuse failed to blow as the OCD and shorted the internal control board. I was attempting to use a 12 amp circular saw when the short occurred. Thanks to Home Depot return policy I was able to return the product hassle free. On that note I tried to contact the manufacture but no response.
