This is a perfect fine product. However, the instructions and specifications for installing are in NO WAY DIY. The manual is online and for several models, written specifically for professionals. The only DIY component was the precharged 25ft line which lost its pressure/charge upon installation. Save yourself hours of hassle. Buy a non DIY unit and get a pro to come pressurize/charge the line once you have done the rest.

Not a true DIY mini split, It did not come with instructions.
On the side of the head unit it stated that. (Unit must be installed by a HVAC technician to receive warranty)

Instructions with unit are for all their models - Mine was DYI model ( pre charged) - the instructions were for one without freon -- I had to search on line to make sure I was installing correctly. There is NO need for you to vacuum the line set !! They have self purging value on the compressor unit . Hook up the line sets to the outside unit and the wall unit, take the cover off were you connected the line at the outside unit. Insert an allen wrench key and turn it all the way on both fittings. You will here the gas flowing in the lines. You are good to go ! Mine unit has been running for a week and cooling with no problems . The only warning I have is be careful when you remove the plastic fitting on the wall unit line set- they are under pressure from factory to test for leaks. It is just air blowing out- you didn't break anything. - Again - NO NEED to vacuum line set

i had my handyman install this. He said it was quite easy. We did have to get an A/C company to come out and vacuum out the lines but even he was impressed with the quality of the product. After I turned it on I had to keep checking that it was actually running; it's so quiet, inside unit and outside unit! It has kept my house at an even temp, nice and cool. I'll probably use this more in the winter for heat.
