My question is more towards the less coil model. Can someone please tell me more about this manufacturer? There is zero information out there and a boiler isn't something that I want to gamble on. Are the castings made in China? With proper maintenance, will this last 20 years like my Weil Mclane? Am I to assume that the heavy weight is a reflection of it's build and design quality? How does this brand stand up to Slant-fin which Home Depot also carries for around the same price and similar specs? My wallet tells me to buy this but instinct tells me it's inexpensive for a reason! Sales people from plumbing and heating wholesalers say "don't buy"-"it wont last", "junk", "cheaply made" and so on. Are they right? How can anyone know if this product hasn't been out long enough to answer such a question? Please, someone help me out.

this is basically a burn brand boiler and if maintained it should list more than twenty years

Customer Reviews

RRO Series 84% AFUE Oil Water Boiler with Coil and 131,000-156,000 BTU Output is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I was very sceptical at first, with it being an off brand boiler. After doing some research found out it appears to be identical as the New Yorker CL-4. Also has all name brand components. Same install as any other boiler with internal coil. Using to heat a 3700sqft 4 family house in Connecticut. Replaced a old 1950’s Utica 6 section, more as a safety concern then efficiency concern. Appears to use almost same amount of oil as old set up. Thought it’s fired with a 1.25, old boiler was a .85 nozzle. Going to try down firing this coming season. Nice and quiet compared to old unit.
