I got the rangemate microwaveable ceramic few days ago and I love the bright orange color and the design. Inside there's a rubber mat and a cupcakes rubber tray to use when cooking. Thorough instructions are included to use the rangemate safely. The best thing I love is the cooking recipes book that is enclosed. Though I didn't cook with it yet I can see that I'm going to enjoy it.

The Rangemate microwaveable pan may be a useful cooking aid to someone who needs to do most of their cooking in a microwave oven but it did not come close to meeting expectations described in the User Guide/Recipe booklet that came with the pan. I have a 975 Watt microwave and followed the recipe to prepare bacon and eggs. Recipe called for 5-6 min (9-1000W MW) for bacon and an additional 30 sec after adding 2 eggs (sunny side up). After 5 min, bacon was no where near cooked. After an additional 3 min it was acceptable but still a bit under-cooked. I then added the eggs. They still appeared raw after 30 sec. After an additional 3 min they were still quite runny but were edible and tasted OK. The pan and silicone inserts are high quality and finish is excellent and is a reasonable purchase for someone who only ahs a microwave available for cooking but if I have a range available, this had no benefit over a skillet..

Very excited about cooking almost everything in my microwave so when I saw this I just had to try it. In all fairness I have only made one recipe from the recipe booklet included. Starting with something simple, spaghetti and meatballs. Thinking if this goes really well all my pasta cooking will be done in this exclusively. Hate boiling water in large pot on stove and tending to it so here’s my solution. But wait not so fast. It says to add 2 cups water (room temperature is what I used) then break pasta in half, cover and microwave on high for 10-11 minutes. Did everything as instructed. When I opened the lid there were several clumps of connected spaghetti. I think that 2 cups of water were not enough and the time needed to be longer. So I added more water and cooked it all again. It came out ok. I was tending to it too much and it got kind of murky. I think it is just a matter of figuring out timing, water and amount of food. I did not overload the pot. Was very mindful of this to give it a fair review. I also used frozen meatballs which got a nice charred exterior because of the oil you have to use but they were a bit on the dense side. I do however, see this pan cooking up meats and meals making it crispy which we all know a microwave just does not do. Looking forward to experimenting with it more. Cleans up super easy. The pan surprisingly does not get hot in the microwave so touching it to remove it was great-no potholders needed. The food inside was piping hot. It has a nice recipe book and seems to be very diverse. It is a whole new way of cooking and with just one pot. Like that a lot. I just could not give it 5 stars today because of the stickiness of the pasta. I do think it is a good investment and 5 star worthy but only after I truly experiment with it using it frequently to figure out the best way it works for my meals.
