Works well and easy to use. Follow the directions and you will get good results. Don't forget to wet the existing concrete or your results will be poor.

This is a good product that provides good results, but it takes a little practice/experience and the right tools to get a good job. The material sets up a little faster than the product documentation identifies. It says it is workable for 30 minutes, but I found that even in my temperatures which were a little under 70 degrees, it was getting difficult to work with after 20 minutes. So work in small batches. Spread it quickly to the desired thickness (large steel trowel), then spend the time to smooth the surface. I also found I needed to add about 10% more water than recommended to get the work-ability of the material to obtain the 1/8 skim thickness. The surface coloring can be a challenge to get uniform. I found you get any surface water after finishing/smoothing, the white pigment will be concentrated in those areas. Using a large moist sponge (as used for grouting) with a light touch allowed for the removal of excess moisture and smoothing trowel lines. All in all, a good product, but it will be challenging for anyone without concrete finishing experience and tools.

We just refinished our entire front door landing using Newcrete. The product was applied according to the instructions. Once dried it was splotchy and looked totally uneven. Also any leaves that fell on it, even though it was dry, turned the landing yellow in various areas. I contacted Rapid Set, an agent came to take a look, but their manager told them that they would not fix their faulty product on my home by coming out and applying another layer. I was told that it was our fault for faulty applications even though we adhered to the instructions and power washed the entire area and applied exactly according to the directions. I am disappointed with their product and customer service. Stay away. Now the entrance of my home looks horrible. I would not recommend this product or a company that doesn't stand behind their faulty product.

Go’s on great, trick is thin coat and build a form, makes spreading a breeze, I will be giving it a 2nd coat, I went a little thick at the and where there was a low spot at a joint where it met the driveway, a thin coat will fill in imperfection. Tip best to use a mixer on a drill to get a smooth mix. Drys fast but had enough time to work it. Now to see how it holds up.

The only reason why I did not rate the product with 5 star is because I read the directions and it says to add 2.5 quarts of water and unless I measured it wrong it was not enough water and I had to add a little more to get it flowing on the concrete. My wife did the majority of the work and she loves how it looks.

Put down two coats. When they say work fast they mean work fast!! It sets up very quickly. Wish I had 10 minutes more to work with it. Here is the patio half done and completed. Don't know how it'll survive the winter. I'll be putting on a urethane water proofing later.

This product works great. First, buy a drill mixer. Buy a cheap long handle squeegee. Recruit your spouse or friend as an assistant. Surface prep is key. Power wash with a minimum 2800psi spray. Broom that dirty slush into dustpan and dispose. Metal brush and shop vac up the loose debris. Wash again with a house-wash product. Allow a day to dry. Fill all cracks and divots with a good concrete tube-applied filler or a pre-mix modified patch, or dry mix concrete topper. Apply a sealer/bonder/fortifier liquid on the surface using a paint roller. Wait till it gets tacky. Use ice-cold water in the mix and only apply in the shade on a 70 degree day or less down to 60 degrees (like early in the morning). Use the drill mixer until you get something like pancake batter but with flow like melted ice-cream. Modify the mix with a bit of water until you get there. WORK FAST, but steady you shouldn't be mixing for anything more that 3 minutes. (hence the drill mixer- operated by spouse) Start from the high spot preferably in the far corner. Pour in a line and work with the squeegee. Drag the product and let it the weight of the squeegee level out the mix. Spread even 1/4" coverage completely within 5 mins. 1 Box covers around 8 feet by 8 feet. Don't try to broom texture this stuff unless you have the lightest softest horse hair brooms ever made or one of these. (Store SO SKU #1000667722). Allow it to cure overnight. Seal it with a water proofer. You get what you put into it. Take your time, research your pour, and do it right. you'll end up with something that lasts and looks good. Rush this and try to feel your way to the finish line... You'll end up with a bad surface. Good luck.

Let me first state that I am not a beginner and have worked with several concrete products throughout the years. I followed the preparation and application instructions word by word and did hours of research before I attempted to resurface 48 concrete pavers in my courtyard. This product sets very quickly even with the pharmacy retarder added. Regardless of that, the products goes on fine and seems to cure quickly. I applied on a sunny day with no rain for a week. Temperature was kept close to 80F or lower. I am in South Florida. Three days after application, I tested one paver and while the top coat seems hard, it scratches and comes off easily especially when wet. I redid the whole resurfacing job with bonding agent added to the mix and to the pavers. Three days later, better but similar results. I can remove the product very easily with a garden hose. The mixing proportions were followed according to the box and never was the material being applied too thin and never over troweled. I consulted a flooring company and they told me that this product is known for being unpredictable and I was better off mixing my own. That is what I am going to do after I pressure wash it. What a waste of time, labor and money. I should have looked at the reviews of similar products by Quikrete and Sakrete as they are all pretty much negative and tell a similar story.
