So,what is the warranty?Don't see that info for any NIMH batteries sold by HD.Just a 90 day return.I want to know how long they are guaranteed to last by manufacturer. As far as I can tell,Duracell is the only manufacturer offering a 5 year warranty, but they say only to 400 charges, like anyone is going to keep track of charges.

Customer Reviews

Rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride AA/1.2-Volt Battery (4-Pack) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 59.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far, So Good I have had 8 of these in AAA now for about 2 weeks. I purchased them to use in my Streamlight ProTac 2AAA light so I could use it without concern of burning the batteries up and having to go out and buy another set. (Unfortunately, I dont make much money. Living paycheck to paycheck here.) So far, they seem nothing less than great. Provide blinding consistent light in the flashlight. Have yet to deplete a pair of these as my light doesn't get super heavy use. In my case, even if I had to swap them once a week it would be well worth it to save the money. Swapping them with a freshly charged set takes less than 30 seconds and I have a bright light again. When it comes to the poor reviews other people have given these, two things (at least) need to be given consideration: 1) Sometimes you get a defective product. This happens, especially when they are mass produced. Machines fail, people make mistakes, etc. I work part time in manufacturing. It happens, I know. Believe me. 2) Longevity of the charge depends on how they are used. In low drain applications, these NiMH batteries will not last as long as a standard alkaline battery as they have lower absolute capacity. However with high drain, they will last longer. NiMH doesnt experience the same total capacity drop that a alkaline does due to their lower internal resistance So consider the application they are used for. Flashlights, especially high-lumen LEDs, are much higher drain than most would expect. Other things like video game controllers are fairly low drain, so they wont go as far in this application. Please, before complaints are made, and even before the product is purchased, do a little research. Can save you lots of headaches ahead of time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wast of money I bought a set with charger included to use for wireless controllers. I didnt think to check them before throwing away the packaging but the batteries never worked at all. then i figured maybe they didnt come pre charged so i put them on the charger and still nothing. surely not something i will try and buy again. spend the extra couple dollars on a better quality battery.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough battery life I'm sorry, Rayovac, but these are pretty awful. They charge quickly, but they have less than 1/4 the life of a non-rechargeable battery. I bought a few packs of these to power all of the holiday led lights that we have around the house. 3 of these batteries will only last about 1 week in each of the light sets, which are on 6 hours per day. I'm constantly charging and replacing batteries and it's incredibly annoying. I have another set of rechargeables and they last several weeks in these light sets. I've very annoyed that I paid money for these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1400 mah is terrible for the amount of battery capacity, I should have bought another precharged MiMh battery. My son's Tom The Train is using precharged NiMh batteries from a competitor that is 2.3 amps compared to 1.4 amps for the same price! I fault Rayovac for not listing the amperage infomation on its packaging. Its spec's were only available online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No mAH rating on package. These Rayovac rechargeable batteries are NOT a good value for the money. They do not last long enough before needing to be recharged due to the low mah rating (which is not given anywhere on the package!). I looked. Better to buy some batteries with a higher mah rating on the package I think.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These did not last 6 months..U I have been buying Rayovac rechargeable batteries for almost 10 years for a remote. They usually last 2-3 years, a tad longer too. These , Model .LD715-4OP, did not last 6 months. They will no longer charge. These batteries were pre charged when i bought new. I bought precharged before and i think those batteries did not last long. I may be wrong but i dont think precharged batteries last long. Going to buy another brand next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Reliable Batteries, Nifty Charger Bought these as a package with a 4 bay charger as a power source for a project I was building using a lm317t variable voltage regulator, I decided to use a 8S configuration with a 50K linear pot. These provide the 1.5A load current in short duration that I need and with a flat discharge curve , are pretty predictable and reliable when they need recharging, even at the bottom of the discharge curve these provide the extra 2 volts to avoid the DO of the regulator. I feel as though the charger is the star of the show here, I have a handful of four bay chargers and the PS332 is the most intuitive useful charger I have. The Device has a dual LCD with a estimated completion time, rather than a timer these poll battery statistics at interval assuring that my batteries are properly being charged at rate that leverages charge time and thermal stress really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good batteries and last a long time I used these a few years ago for camera flashes; each flash used four (4) batteries. The flash recycled within manufacturer's specs and last as long or longer than regular alkaline batteries. One draw back is they must be fully charge during a full 17-hour charging time. Using a one-hour (1-hr) charger, they test in a battery tester as fully charged, but do not stand the test of time and use on a one-hour charge. I figured on a one-hour charge, they last 50% to 75% of being charged for 17 hours. So if you need daily charged and turn around time, you must purchased a second set. I have found the 17-hr and 1-hr charging results stated to be the same with other manufacturer's batteries. I only found one batteries better, but they are not imported to this country or went out of business and that was in the last 1980s. I returned to Ray-O-Vac as they were what our family used when I was a child. The yellow dark blue wrapped battery with a leaping cat was a longer time familiar symbol or logo and the yellow made they easy to spot on the shelve. They were good back when . . . and the are much better today. I will swear by them.
