This is a very nice Razorback ice chisel. I am a fan of Razorback products and this did not disappoint. Nice sized head made of forged steel, thin and sharp enough to cut through thick ice, but thick enough to have some weight and plenty of strength. Nice long, quality wooden handle to give you leverage. The entire length is about 5 feet. I live in Maine and we get a lot of ice in the drive way. This is exactly what I needed. There are probably other uses for this too perhaps in a garden.

This ice chisel has a long wooden handle to give you easy control. The head is attached with a taper to to the handle and then riveted in place. The blade is ground to an angle to better chop or scrape ice. I found the tool overall to be light which is both good and bad. Being light makes it easy to handle without getting tired. Being light also means it doesn't chop the ice without using a little force. If the blade was heavier it would cut easier and stay under the ice layer when scraping.

I came home from the holidays this year to 2 inches of solid ice on my driveway. I was really glad I had this ice chisel. I put it through it's paces for sure chopping ice for the better part of the day. It handled it like a champ. It's a good size to get through the ice and get under the ice to break it up. The hardwood handle is comfortable and plenty strong. The chisel itself is socketed so the handle can easily be replaced. This is a tool I don't enjoy using, but the Razor-Back forged chisel makes me dislike it a bit less

This Razor-Back 3.75 in. Forged Ice Chisel is just what I have been looking for! Nice looking item, seems sturdy, has a nice feel to it and does the job! Have been in the market for an Ice Chisel/Scrapper for awhile but haven't been able to find one that looked decent enough to get - sure glad I found this one! This is a very solid and durable ice scraper / chisel. Being slightly narrower than others, it does a great job of loosening stubborn hard packed frozen ice from my driveway. I can see myself using this scraper for other applications because of its durable quality. I would strongly recommend to anyone that lives in an area that has cold months with hard freezing snow and ice.

First impression when I opened the box was that this ice chisel is not going to hold up. It has a metal forged head that is 3.5 inches wide attached to a wooden handle. The chisel is not very heavy which for a chisel you want more weight to it so it takes less effort to chip ice. After I started using it I found i jumped to the wrong conclusion. The forged head stayed sharp and cut well. Trick is to keep the edge sharp. Works better than I thought it would.

This is a great ice chisel to break up those pieces of ice on your sidewalk or driveway. The chiseled blade is approximately 4 inches wide and very sharp.
The Handle is solid high quality Oak woof laminated so that you will not get wood splinters in your hand.
I tried the Ice chisel on the concrete sidewalk and it did a great job of breaking thru a 3 inch piece of ice like butter.
My main concern is that the Ice Chisel CAN do damage to Tarvia driveway easily as tarvia is softer than concrete by far. On a tarvia driveway, a gentle touch is needed or sliding the chisel point under the is rather than pushing it straight down.
I would not recommend using this Ice Chisel on a roof or house as you would easily damage roofing tiles and the wood below.

Razorback is a name I have been familiar with for many years and considered to be a top brand name. This 3.75 in. Forged Ice Chisel has a nice high-quality forged blade and the blade tang and heavyweight ferrule are welded into a single solid unit. There will be no loosening of this during use. The wood handle is also a solid clean grained hardwood stick and promises long life with hard usage. The components are consistent with the reputation of the brand. We have had limited ice to chisel since I have owned it but it has worked very effectively on what we have had.

The Razor Back Chisel is a multi use tool as the product description says it can scrape many materials. It’s listed as ice scraper but can be used for several tasks roofing, siding, tile and outdoors chopping roots or unwanted vegetation. The reason I wanted it is because it’s light weight doesn’t wear you out working with it. The steel Is strong I highly recommend this product.
