It's light weight and can move a lot more than it appears.

This one has strong tines; it would take a lot of prying on this fork to break a tine. The handle is finished well and feels just the right size in thickness and length. The fork is light but has sturdy construction and has good balance. I generally prefer 5 or 6 tines over 4 but each has their uses. Although the tines are blunted, this fork penetrates even packed soil well.

While city folks call this a Four Oval Tine Manure Fork; we country fork call this what it is, "Pitch Fork"! While it tosses the dung alright, it is also great for hay, straw. excessive weeds etc... Has a strong fork base connected to a solid wood handle which is tapered for working comfort. The tips come very sharply pointed and easy to keep a good point with proper tool maintenance. Remember tools like these: SAFETY FIRST!!!

The tines seem to be well fastened to the handle which is a good thick piece of round wood. The top end is rounded, but has no hole for hanging by the handle. Not a problem, as I think most people will hang it on a wall from the fork-end anyway. We were able to clear up thickly matted leaves out of flower beds without any problems. The fork is 66 inches long and 9 inches wide at the tip. Assembled in the USA with foreign and deomestic components. “Austria” is stamped onto the metal fork so I presume at least that part is made in Austria.

We are using it more as a pitch fork because it does not work as a horse manure fork. As a manure fork, it's more meant for cow manure. It works great to toss hay. We also used it to loosen up some soil. As with any pitch fork/manure fork like this, it has multiple uses. This one is built to withstand heavy treatment.

This fork is much better at moving garden waste for composting than my spading fork. The handle is much longer so when add to my compost bin I can reach the eight feet to the very back. The tines do an excellent job at picking picking up all kinds of objects, though of course small dry items will just slip between the tines. Even when I am loading my wheelbarrow and do not need long reach, I just hold the handle closer to the times and the overhanging fork handle acts like a counterweight. The construction quality seems excellent so I anticipate a long life for this excellent garden tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We do a fair amount of Mulch and having high-quality pitchforks, as well as mulch scoop shovels, are a must! We just did 8 yards of double shredded hardwood mulch in the rain and this pitchfork held up really well. The only thing is if you are planning to use it for finely shredded mulch get the 5-tine pitchfork. Or if you use both types of mulch, it might be worth owning a 4-tine fork and a 5-tine fork. PROS *Very well made *Fairly priced around $40 *Nice sharp points *Nice smooth handle *Works exactly how it should Just the usual Razorback quality! I don't have any cons 5 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this product

My old one was very well-used when I got it and I've used it for many years, primarily for yard cleanup of pine needles, and to turn the compost pile. The old wooden handle is pretty well shot after all the years in the Sonoran Desert. This new Razor-Back fork appears to be well-made and very solid. It'll be just the ticket for my purposes. The pine trees are just entering their needle drop season. By the time they're done I'll have well over 3 cubic yards of needles to dispose of and this fork will sure help get 'em up and packed for disposal. The old one may wind up with our Texas kids who have livestock to keep up with.

GREAT for MULCH — Although it is intended primarily for moving manure and hay, the Razorback 4-Oval Tine Manure Fork also works well for moving mulch. Previously I have used a spading fork for this task. The manure fork works much better because it is lighter weight, has a longer handle, and has curved tines. Its handle is wooden. In the past, I have broken several wooden handles on garden tools so I was pleased to see that the Razorback manure fork has a lifetime warranty. I don’t expect to have any problems with the handle breaking for the task that it is used for. It would have been helpful if it had a hole in the handle for hanging it up.
