  • Dries within an hour
  • Ideal to use on flat, level surfaces
Clear Museum Gel is a see-through product that protects glassware and crystal from toppling over and shattering. It s the professional collector s choice. Clear gel is designed primarily for glass-on-glass applications, although it can be used on most surfaces. It s easy to use, just scoop a little out of the jar and roll it into balls. Place on the bottom of an object, press down lightly and twist into position. The gel gradually flows across the base of an item until it creates a superior invisible bond. The gel is designed for use on flat, level surfaces only and takes up to an hour to set properly.
  • Removable & reusable
  • Use on glass & crystal
  • Use on flat, level surface
  • 1 jar will secure about 300 items!

Questions & Answers

Can the museum gel work on a vertical surface?

I am looking for a product to repair a d-handle on a glass door. Would the gel stay in place? Will the repaired handle withstand the pushing and pulling?
Asked by: kk2n777
No. Most D handles have a SCREW hole, or BOLT hole, and so does the door. Why can you not replace it with another bolt. If it was GLUED on to begin with, I have had good luck with Gorilla Glue Sticks, or Gorilla Glue Clear Gel. I have used their Glue sticks on a multitude of objects AND fabric, including STYROFOAM, with Great results.

Does this work well on wood painted surfaces?

Asked by: York59
no. I believe I answered this one already. It will warp the paint, then the wood. It is a GEL. It flows. So to me that means it would feel wet, be "wet"? Wet and wood and paint do not mix too well, you know? They do make a putty.

How can the object which is mounted down with the gel be removed?

How can the object which is mounted down with the gel be removed?
Asked by: Linda
The gel does not harden. It can be used again. It stays in a liquid state, it is a gel, it flows... You just twist the object back and forth until you loosen it up. Then peel up the gel, re-ball it, and use it again.

Would it work to secure a glass top onto a wicker table with putting the gel onto the suction cups?
Asked by: MP
I have not tried for anything other than ceramic & plastic. However, I have no doubt that it would also work to secure to secure your glass top
