Ready Seal is a penetrating formulation, designed and formulated to absorb into your wood. Additives of any sort are not recommended.
I live in Austin Texas. I just built a small deck with weather shield wood. When do I stain?
Ready Seal can be applied to any smooth milled deck wood, after it has been soft washed, to remove any mill-glaze, and dried down to 12% moisture content or less.
Can it be applied in sunlight?
Ready Seal can be applied in sun or shade, and at any temperature.
Will this stain and sealer cover old paint?
Ready Seal is a penetrating stain, and will not cover, hide or mask previously applied paint. Ready Seal should only be applied to clean, dry wood.
Do I need to put a primer on the wood fence before putting the strain on to cover darker spots?
No primer or wood conditioning agents are required for the application of Ready Seal. Only clean and dry wood is needed.
