This includes the box, outlet and cover, but you also need some threaded conduit and wire to bring power to the box.

Can this be mounted horizontally? And still be while in use and weatherproof?

Yes. You can set up the cover to hinge on either the long or short dimension.

Your issue is within the LINE wiring. Check to see if anything is powered on that circuit in the home before it feeds the outlet. Yellow generally indicates a current issue.

It most likely will NOT fit. The inside is about 3 3/4 high but only about 2 3/4 wide. You might be able to get the 2 gang and leave one outlet out. Depends on shape of extender. Take extender to store with you and see if there is an open package.

The included GFI outlet was completely inoperable out of the box. I had to buy a replacement outlet for the project. The actual housing worked fine.

This worked great! Although I didn't end up using the metal box portion, it was still cheaper to get the whole package rather than buying GFCI and cover separately. Everything you need to right there for install. Opens/closes easily, and the ability to tuck away cords with cover on is awesome!

Solid construction, bug proof, and seemingly weather resistant. Replaced a less-expensive flip-lid outlet (#202266482) which sugar ants were breaking in through. Easy to install if you're familiar with replacing outlets. Would buy again.

Great cover and box, NON-working GFCI receptacle
The cover and the box are great, and the kit would have been a great deal if the GFCI receptacle actually worked. Good thing I saw other reviews and tested it before wrapping up the installation. Sure enough, the GFCI receptacle was NOT working out of the box. I installed dozens of GFCI receptacles in my life. I know about connecting hot to the hot terminal, and neutral to neutral, I realize that the power should be coming to the "Line" set of terminals, not "Load", and I know that most receptacles should be receiving power before you can trip or reset them. Still, no dice. I could not reset it. It ships with the test button tripped, but when I tried to reset it - no go, the reset button does not work. The outlet was receiving power to the "Line" terminals, I checked and re-checked everything. it was wired correctly - phase to the yellow "Line" screw terminal, neutral - to "white", but it would not reset. Nothing was connected to the "Load" set of the terminals.

Outlet box is too small for a 12 gauge UF cable
The outlet box is very small and cannot even fit a 12 guage UF cable. To make matters verse the GFCI outlet in this kit is fatter than other GFCI outlet. Spare yourself the frustration installing this kit and buy the components separately with a bigger outlet box.
