Yes. You can cut these vertically. I found that a large, serrated bread knife worked best. I used a metal ruler as a straight edge. I believe they recommended a utility knife. That did not work for me. To shorten horizontally, scissors would work.
If I remember correctly, there are 4 shades per box. . .I have allergies and cannot tolerate dust and especially lingering pollen in fabric. These temporary blinds are an inexpensive and quick way to change out for a clean set as often as needed in my bedroom.

Over time you'll have to fold it up to the position desired. I usually don't alter the length too once I have them in place. Use clips to secure position.
