Hello, when you purchase our arch shades, you should receive 2 different types of instructions. One for a perfect arch and one for an imperfect arch. This should help determine how to cut the arch shade to fit your arch window.
Hello, the White Arch Window Shade you are referring to is made of fabric, 100% non-woven polyester.
Yes, how shades are meant to be cut to fit the width of your window.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the great question. Our Original Arch shades are designed for perfect arches, and are not recommended for use in imperfect or eyebrow/elliptical arches. The general rules for cutting for an imperfect arch are: Place the Arch Shade in your window, fan open. Take a pencil and trace, on the excess material, following the curvature of the window. Remove the shade and with a sharp pair of scissors, cut off the excess material, following the curve. Replace the shade in the window, and mount down to the sill . Redi Shade Customer Care
There are instructions included with the shade that explain how to cut the shade for a window that is not a perfect arch. I do believe that it will take some finesse to get the shade fit such an extreme arch so make sure that you are using a sharp blade and take your time. You may want to make a template of your window first so you can lay it on the shade while having it on a table to be able to make your cut marks.
Hi Dh, thanks for your question. Our arch shades are meant for perfect half circles, your arch window is slightly imperfect as the length of your window is not exactly half the size of your base. However, you can modify it to fit. Please visit our Youtube channel under Redishade to view our instructional video for imperfect arches. Redi Shade Customer Support
