Perfect for getting to rooftop storage
I picked this up to help get my kayaks on and off the roof of my SUV. It's a great, beefy step that lets me get up high and perfectly lineup and secure my boats. Things I like 1.) Detailed instructions for any style of hitch 2.) Big beefy piece of metal with no flex under my weight, the weight of the boat or the whole boat loading operation 3.) Diamond grip for a secure footing 4.) Adapter plate to allow it to fit securely to your hitch style 5.) Easy on/off approach by simple adding or removing your hitch

Great Step for the hitch
This step is amazing....once it's put on. the instructions are a little difficult to understand and the adapter was useless. the adapter had 3 individual ways it could be used and neither of them worked for me and the ball and hitch was made by Reese which is the same company that makes the Tow And Go Hitch Step. Also the nut and bolts that came with it seemed a little to short but once you got it positioned right and removed any of the plastic adapters then nut and bolts fit just right and it looks and works perfect. So ditch the adapters before putting it together and you will be good to go.

Sturdy step
This is a sturdy step when you want to get into the bed of your truck or reach the roof of your suv. It is made from aluminium and powder coated for resistance to salt and road grime,it has a diamond plate pattern for easy grip and has a rating of 500 pounds. Installation was easy once I figured out the spacers that came with it.It is sturdy and doesn't move under foot and has a good grip so no slipping. It is a great addition for the convenience of getting in and out of my truck and I couldn't be happier.

Handy step
This is going to be a handy step to keep in my truck. It was easy to put together on my ball mount and the grips on the step pads work very well. What is nice about this is trucks are getting taller every year seems like and this will make it easier to reach over the tail gate or to just get up into the back of the truck. All you need to do is clamp it over your ball and hold together with the supplied bolts and the lock nuts are held in place by cut outs in the step.

A step up
I've considered a tow step for a while. In my kind it has to be functional and not in the way. So check and mostly check. The step makes it easy to put things into the bed if I don't have the lift gate flat. I have found it helpful when putting things on my bed rails. Install is straightforward, mostly. Designed for Reese hitches, you have the base of the step, which is the main piece with the diamond tread, then you have a piece that goes over the ball and is bolted down. So 4 bolts and locknuts are what holds you when standing on it. Keep that in mind. It says it's rated for 600lbs. It also comes with this plastic guard that is supposed to be used around the ball but mine broke so I am using without. I think it was to protect the paint on he hitch. It does come with a small warning that you may need to remove it if towing something with items connected close to the tongue of the trailer, it could contact the step when turning. Overall, pleased. Docking a star because of the plastic thing, limited to wrong instructions on the box.

Nice step, but a weak bolt
This hitch is quite nice; it looks great, is light (aluminum), and the deep lugs give excellent traction even when wet or muddy. With the hitch typically at about 18 inches from the ground, it ends up being a nice height for reaching the top of a van or SUV to attach or remove ladders, canoes, or cargo. My only complaint is that the bolts do not seem sturdy. I installed it once without the spacer, then read the instructions and realized that I should probably include the spacer so I removed it & reinstalled it with the spacer. Then I decided to flip the hitch to raise the ball, so I removed it & reinstalled it after remounting the ball. All installation & removal was done with a 1/4 inch drive hand socket set and only moderate torque, but even so one of the bolts twisted off on the third installation. The step still seems to work fine with three bolts, but now I need to find a nut & bolt the right size to be sure it remains sturdily attached.

thoughtful accessory
This is a thoughtful accessory to get to the back of roof of the SUV / Van. I could also see it being useful during the take-out process of boating when you may have a boater wanting to get off the boat from the bow. I believe my installation went easily because I started with rust-free, new draw bar and ball. The tread is sturdy and so is the construction. Ultimately, it may come in handy for boating.

Not Sure How I lived With Out This
WOW, I really did not realize how much I needed this product in my life till after I installed it. Installed fairly easily, less than five minutes. Comes with four stainless steel 1/4" X 20 bolts, so the use of a 7/16" socket will made the install go very quick. If you have ever had to pull yourself up while standing on your tire or drop the tailgate and do the awkward middle age pull up in the attempt to retrieve something from the bed of your truck you need this product. Well made, great idea and looks awesome.

Super helpful
Didn't know how much I needed this till after I installed it. The step makes it easier to look over and into your bed as it provides a more usable stepping area than your bumper. Installation is super easy if you already have a Reese ball with hexagonal base. If you have the more common ball with flats on both sides, you're going to have to remove it as the spacer won't fit over the ball. The step itself is solid, however, most, if not all, hitches have some play, so you'll definitely feel some movement from that when standing on it. It isn't enough to be a problem though. The stepping area is solid and I haven't had any issues with slipping. Finish looks great, however, I did notice some rusty powder on the top plate area. Looks like some of the finish may have rubbed off when tightening the bolts. It's barely noticeable though.
