No, this cord has a NEMA L14-20 (four prong, 125/250 volt) plug and a matching L14-20 (four prong, 125/250 volt) receptacle. It is an extension cord, not an adapter cord.
Yes, but it may dilute the current flow?
No, this has a standard NEMA L14-30 configuration, nothing proprietary.
As long as you keep the connections dry, the cord itself appears robustly waterproof. Mind you, I am not an electrician.
This cord plugs directly into the transfer switch into the house, it works great
It works for me fine. If you are going to connect it to your drier outlet, you will need a short adapter cable to make the connection to the outlet. If you are a novice, you should contact an electrician for guidance. He should also guide you thru your panel switches, and while generator is connected to the outlet, the main switches must be off to prevent feedback to the power supply. ASK FOR HELP
The cord should be a close to the length that you need as possible. However, the main concern is that you not leave unused cord length coiled as it doesn't dissipate heat effectively.
As the above description and the product box says, this is a L14 30 compliant, or configured cord. That means, the outlet it plugs into is the same and is likely marked as such. So, a fact check is all that is needed, not my opinion. But yes.
Don’t know specifically but I have used. 20 amp connector on one end of a cord to connect to a generator to a 30 amp transfer switch You may have to swap out one connector to do that.
