RM212A 19 in. 12 Amp 3-in-1 Walk Behind Corded Electric Mower

It came. It works. It has an odd break in the circuit reset cover, but that isn't important. It's a good mower for a very small yard.

Easy to use. Very good performance. I only wish this could be battery operated. The extension cord is a hasle.

The mower is quite heavy to take it out of the box. I had to assemble the handle. However, when I tried to change height, it got stuck. I was able to return it, but then I used my screwdriver and bent the right side of the slot downward and that allowed more opening for the handle to shift up/down to adjust height. The is something customers don't have to do. It should be easily adjusted. For someone not technical, that person would have returned this mower. Pros: Good mower, electric, comes w/ bag. Has fan on the bottom to blow grass outward, unlike my Black & Decker didn't have that. Grass don't stick too much or easily to metal pan. Fan spins freely, unlike the B& Decker. This makes scooping out the wet grass much easier. Cons: safety handle is only on the right side, needs to be on for both or left hand. Bar handle lock can be confusing to some to put it on. Opening latch for the bag can be hard because of the stiff spring to lift up the latch before inserting the bag. My level height adjust was stuck. Had to use screwdriver to bend the right side downward to allow easy shifting. I mowed my tall grasses in 90% high level first and then lowered to 20% (2nd gear low). When it starts to choke, I lift up (the front) of mower to allow motor to spin faster before continuing to cut. It's not a bad mower; I didn't give 5 stars because of the stuck height adjuster.

Worked great right out of box. Cord took 5 minutes to get used to. No more gas and fumes,cleaned with a broom, can go right into store room.

We wanted a lawn mower made in the USA and Remington says that online, however, it says in large letters on the box, made in China. OTHERWISE, it seems to be a good product. We're very disappointed it wasn't all USA!

You have an excellent customer service department. The item was slightly damaged in shipment and they did everything possible to help me plus gave me a $50.00 gift certificate.

Works well if you don't let the grass get too high. Easy to assemble and use. Be careful and don't cut the cord. =)

I am replacing my old RM212A model (which after 6 years of faithful use finally gave out) with this new one. I already know that this model is a solid built and powerful mower and didn't want to replace it with just any electric mower. I live in Arizona and the desert environment here is very tough and dusty, so I needed a mower that I can trust (and last more than a couple of years). The RM212A model is well built with a metal housing around the blade (not cheap plastic), sturdy rubberized wheels (not just plastic), grass catcher and a sturdy over-all feel. Assembly was easy. I can't comment on the mulching feature as I have never had the need to use it. The only bad thing to report is that during shipping the mower must have been dropped on one side because the front left wheel was a little lopsided. No problem though as I switched out the plastic ring parts in the wheel housing from the old mower to the new one and I was off and running. I also purchased the additional two year warranty for a total of four years of coverage (including the manufacturer's warranty). If you want a sturdy and powerful electric lawn mower, then I suggest this one with the 12 amps. A good price too.

Remington electric mower works perfectly for our small yard. Rear bagger is just right for one or two loads. Easy to handle, works nicely on the edges.
