The Remington RM1035P 2-in-1 pole saw/chainsaw features a full wrap handle allowing for more maneuverability and versatility while cutting. Because the cord and handguard are always at the bottom of the pole, there are fewer snag hazards when you're in pole saw mode. That's good when you're trimming branches up above your head. It also features a push-button quick change that allows you to convert from a pole saw to a chainsaw in seconds without tools, so you can cut up those downed branches in no time.
Converts from chainsaw to pole saw in seconds (No tools required)
Handle and guard stay at bottom of pole when in pole saw configuration
In-line motor for more acurate cuts
Tool-less cahin tensioning
Auto-oiler with fill sight window
10 in. bar
Branch hook
Angled head in pole saw configuration
Telescoping pole that extends 10 ft.
Easy flip and lock clamps quickly secure pole length
This pole saw is a really great buy from Remington.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I had recently noticed that the huge Oak Tree in our backyard had started growing too close to our roof and Remington in exchange for providing our honest feedback on it. It arrived by UPS late one afternoon and by early the next morning we had it outside putting it through the paces. During assembly, we could immediately tell that Remington had put a great deal of thought into the design features on this saw. It is able to be used as a pole saw as intended or with the pole removed allowing it to be used separately as a chainsaw which effectively gives you two tools at the price of only one. The locking system Remington designed for attaching the pole and chainsaw together for use as a pole saw is very different from most of the other pole saws on the market. Most of which use a system in which the chainsaw head is screwed onto the pole to complete the transformation from chainsaw to pole saw. Using this method of attachment requires the user to tightly screw the pieces together, in order to ensure that they won't come apart while the saw is being used which could lead to serious injury. The tool less chain adjustment works better than any other I have ever used. Once assembled and locked into place, both the angle and the weight of the chainsaw head are designed to push the blade through even the thickest limbs with ease. There is also a small hook under the blade which I find useful for grabbing and pulling down cut limbs that become stuck up in the trees above me as I work. Innovative features along with excellent performance make this a really great buy from Remington.

Very nice tool to trim high tree branches
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this pole saw to trim branches on a tree. It cut through very easy, but it is rather heavy. I love that the saw detaches so it can be handheld as well which allowed us to take it on the roof to get additional branches easily and without the cumbersome pole. It is a nice 2 in 1 tool and i would recommend it because it gets the job done.

A bit heavy but will buy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In single use the saw was easy to use. In pole use, it was a bit to heavy to control. I think the pole needs to be a bit stronger, too much weight on one end. Overall, it was a great saw.

Great easy to use pole trimmer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was great for tall projects as well as a whole tree. So convenient that the saw part detaches from the pole.

Upper body strength absolutely necessary!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am reviewing the Remington Ranger II electric pole saw model RM1035P. As you can see from my photo, the RangerII non-extended length is precisely the same length as a male Great Dane, appropriately name "Ranger I". I have over 20 fruit trees on my property, so I thought this would be a godsend. Unfortunately, although I lift dogs from 50 to 80 pounds on a daily basis, I find that I am not strong enough to operate this pole saw safely. It functions beautifully. It cuts through small branches like butter. It has very little maintenance, other than keeping it clean and keeping it oiled. I am a 57 year old woman and when I extend the pole as far as I need, I cannot safely lift the chainsaw off the ground. It is important to read the instructions that accompany this tool, as if used incorrectly could severely hurt someone. That being said, I am so sorry, but I am going to have to go back to a manual pole saw. My husband was able to use this saw without any problem at all, but he does not do the tree trimming. The chainsaw detaches from the pole and I can use that on my hedges and for lower branches. It works quite well and makes short time of them. In closing, this product is not defective in the least, I am sorry to admit that I am the defective one. I would not recommend this product for anyone without the proper upper body strength to use it safely. I would highly recommend this product to someone stronger who is able to use it safely. I would recommend this product to most of my male friends and none of my girlfriends.

Cuts right through
Don’t forget to buy some good lube for the reservoir. Pay attention to how much lube you have or the blade can get really dull just like any other chainsaw. I’ve had this thing for a year but it does like to leak out the fluid. It reaches the highest of anything that I know of but just make sure to keep an eye on the leaking lubricant and how much you have in it.

Great saw with one big flaw is a bad saw
At some point your chain will pop off, and at that point you will have a giant paperweight because the chain will never stay on after that point. Remington support us useless unless you plan to do your yard work during their normal business hours.
