AnswerHi Rick, Thank you for sending your question, and I have to agree that you have a valid point about the listing regarding the Renogy 1000-Watt Solar 12-Volt Pure Sine Wave Off Grid Battery Inverter with USB Port @ The Home Depot. The word solar should not be considered as a factor since our inverter will work as long as there's a battery to it and our inverters work to transform the DC power stored in the batteries into standard household AC power for consumer electronic needs. We have sent an email to our eCommerce team to modify the listing available.

Inverter is a Great Choice
I did a lot of research and settled on the Renogy 2000W Inverter. the installation was easy, but took a little more time that I expected. I really like the 120V power cable connection. this makes the install cleaner and more permanent. I have used the system to run lights and my TV with no issues. I also ran the microwave for 3 minutes and the fans didn't even kick on. For the price and support, you can't beat Renogy.

Renogy inverter
I haven’t installed it yet but will give update once it’s in and used in our camper. It came on time, perfectly packaged, and as described. I will require longer hookup cables but not unexpected. We are really excited to add inverter to our backcountry camping.

So far so good—wish the manual was better. It needs to talk more about the neutral and ground being “bonded” and about how or how not to use the ground screw. The troubleshooting section was not helpful. Aesthetically it looks awesome. A bit bigger than I thought. Appreciated the direct wire capability.

Poor mounting design.
The truncated design of the base and the resulting position of the mounting base makes it nearly impossible to insert a screw into the base perpendicular to it which when mounting it in tight space made it difficult. Also in the instruction section "External Fusing" it only listed AWG cable size and amp rating nothing about fusing. Contacting customer service I was given a recommended fuse size based upon the continuous rating which would result in the fuse opening if the inverter was used for a short time in the peak range. I hope my actual use goes better than the installation.
