No, infact this unit cannot use Wi-Fi. It needs a cable to connect to the internet. But the system does not need internet access to record and function. It only needs it to allow viewing from the website and mobile apps

This kit (model #: RWG41BNDL-1) comes with 2 cameras (camera model #: RWCB40-2) and a 4 channel gateway, which would imply you can add two more cameras; however, I have yet to find camera model RWCB40-2 sold separately. Also, the documentation included in the kit does not mention anything about adding cameras, nor does it mention if other camera models are compatible with the gateway.

The AC to DC adapter must plug into an outlet. You get about a 12 ft. extension cord. You can attach them anywhere but you need an outlet (or an extension cable) for power.

The Revo kit is an all-inclusive package that is nice for small or flexible installations. The small size and light weight are beneficial. If you need portability you could make stands for the cameras. The 2 cameras and DVR are shipped pre-paired and easy to setup. The app has intuitive menu for navigation and setting various options. The wording and grammar in the app translation used to get English is peculiar. The cameras provide good image clarity, even in darkness. Another bonus is the cameras can be password protected with individual credentials. One of the first things you need to do is to set/sync time or recording will not overwrite properly. The system does not have auto-adjust for DST which may cause an issue during those 2 times during the year if you have any incidents that need to be investigated. Another thing I noticed is the cameras get warmer than I think is normal for a low power device.

I really like the ease with which my Wireless HD 4-Channel Smart Gateway Surveillance System with the 32 GB SD Card with 2 Full-HD 1080P Audio Capable Bullet Cameras was to set up. I am in know way am an expert in setting up a surveillance system, but the directions were so easy to follow, basically plug in and your ready to go. It has different setting for the sensitivity level of motion sensing. The first day I received a lot of notices because my chickens were activating it, I just readjusted and now it I don't see chickens every 5 minutes. I feel much safer and may see about ordering even more cameras.

Best of all, great imaging for a wireless system. I really like the 1080p at 3 megapixels clear and sharp viewing. Fast easy setup. Good night vision. Digital zoom is Fair. Good camera mounting capabilities with ease of clockwise-n-counter clockwise viewing adjustments, which is lacking with other camera manufacturers. Playback of downloaded saved files is very good. Keep in mind when Live viewing from a wireless device(PC, tablet, or phone) Live Streaming and Playback Viewing will only be as good as your router's WiFi performance has to offer. A good quality router will insure a steady stream with no hault-n-go, which is why most people don't like wireless surveillance systems. I did find the CMS software provided for PC management is outdated and doesn't provide adequate and proper adjustment settings related to the NVR interface settings, which is why I didn't give a 5-star rating. You'll have to adjust vital settings(time/date format, encoding and motion masking) within the NVR interface. I've had 3 wireless systems over a decade and this one takes precedence over all of them. I'm well pleased with the purchase so far. A good buy!

The cameras are both very sensitive and do a fabulous job of detecting motion with PIR (Passive Infra-Red) before physically seeing the person. Sound is good. Clarity is good. Software sends alerts to phone if a recording has been made. You can review the recording with sound on your phone once alerted. You can also watch/listen to live video/audio. The cameras are supposed to be ready to install outside and sealed. There is no power source for outdoor use, you must plug the camera into a regular wall outlet. Not wise for a security camera as they can be unplugged by an intruder and not record at all after being unplugged. The base module is flimsy but adequate for the job it has and can be mounted to the wall. The software is inferior and can do most things except permit one to delete select video(s). The English language interface is clearly a poor translation in the software as it is both grammatically and idiomatically inaccurate. Size and weight of the system is fine. Operation is fine. Software needs to be retooled completely. Power sources need to be readdressed to facilitate outdoor use, such as solar connection or other battery hookup. For a large room or warehouse, this system is expansible and can do a very cost effective job of monitoring the area. For home use, look elsewhere.

Got this system to watch/record activity in my driveway and shop entrance. We live on the highway and sometimes have vehicles show up while we are gone. I also want to access from my cell phone. The app was fairly easy to set up and now I can track activity. The pictures/video is high definition and very clear. The audio is ok, but not great. The night video is better than I expected. I had trouble scanning the QR code but finally got it. I have pets that cause detection and take up SD card storage. Overall, good system.

Installation to the mobile device was not as easy as the limited documentation said. Had to call the HelpDesk of REVO to get assistance. They were able to resolve my problems, are very courteous and professional, and gave me the software to view the cameras from my Windows10 desktop. Cameras are a little bulky, and need to be screw mounted for best use. Modified the setup to allow thw cameras to be strapped to a frame that fits on window sills much easier. Camera resolution is very good, and the night vision is excellent.

First you would have to wait for 5 minutes to review a video. That is to replay a point that you were looking at. Then it finally quit and would not boot at all. Not one issue with signal strength from nvr to camera. Not even close to losing more than 1 bar signal strength from my farthest camera! Revo's got the best clarity I've seen of the few cameras and systems I've bought over past few years. Super clear video, it's like a 100' daytime distance I think?(cant remember exactly) My others aren't close to this clear from 100'! Night vision real good as well. It's the real deal for not near as much money as others charge that have the same video quality. This is the most expensive setup I've ever bought though, so i'm not that surprised about the clarity being so much better than my other, cheaper, cameras. I do like the nvr type of surveillance systems. 24 hour recording, always. There's no monthly fees! The app for the phone is really good, and free. To get up and running, you only have to get power to the cameras. Nothing else. I installed an outlet in the attic for the one I put way up on facial, just under the shingles. It's not hard at all to install these cameras. It's certainly easy to add an outlet to any existing power and it's not much money, at all. I spent about 7 bucks. But, you don't even have to if you don't want to, you can def hide/run an extension cord(s) to any existing outlets if you like. Only reason not 5 stars, only 4 stars, is because to look through video that's been recorded isn't the most effortless process. It's not the worst by no means, but wish I could look through or search through videos a little easier than how you have to do it. Btw, it's def the same with most all other brands of medium priced cameras and surveillance systems, so i'm not surprised and def isn't a deal breaker. I def recommend Revo. If you don't want to spend lot of money and still get perfectly clear video from far distance away, you'll love Revo too. I waited for few months to write my review for a more accurate, thorough and informed opinion of this Revo system.

Got this for Christmas 2018, very nice ,plug in and go,no pairing needed,I live in a 1500 sq ft, Ranch home, cameras mounted under eaves,on corners,2 weeks in,never lost a signal yet picture is always there even in a snowstorm, clear nightvision black and white though.you can switch to 4 views or 1 favorite screen view you like best, like my driveway cam ,I have that one on full screen alot.be prepared to drill about 3/4 inch hole to run power to cameras.you will need to somehow figure out how to get power to all 4 cameras, I had an 110 outlet in my attic space and just ran extension cords, also kids have gaming router way in the basement I was able to use a wireless router extender upstairs and can remote view on my cell phone anytime I like..... would buy again nice wireless system.

Very easy to setup, just need an outlet for the cameras and they auto connect. Account setup for mobile viewing was easy as well. The cameras capture a wide view, have lots of options for recording, and come with plenty of space (1TB). The infrared recording is also pretty clear. The app for iPhone is very simple to setup, and provides easy access to the camera feeds. The cameras themselves seem to be built well, and are weather resistant. Mine are outside, but sheltered from the rain, and seem to hold up fine. The motion detection works great, and its sensitivity can be adjusted, along with areas of detection that can be programmed to be ignored. One small annoyance is the unit does not connect to your home network via Wi-Fi. Although it says Wi-Fi, what it really means is, how the cameras connect to the unit, not the unit to the internet, so if you want to remote view with your phone or a website, you will need to connect it to your router with a cable (provided). Also, the interface for the dvr takes a little getting use to. As far as space goes, it seems the average 15 second video, recording at 1080p, uses about 1MB. I have mine set to record only during motion, and 15 seconds is the minimum recording time. It faces the street slightly, so i may get 200 recordings a day on one of my cameras. Though, even if ALL were recording 250 videos a day, at 15 seconds each, there would still be enough space for roughly 1000 days of recordings. But, longer videos don't necessarily increase in size at the same rate. A video that's 30 seconds long may be 3-5 MB; which is still small, considering you have 1 million MBs of space at your disposal. If you use the system for your home, and use the motion detection, you shouldn't have to worry about space for many, many months. For me, covering my backdoor, yard, driveway and front door, the 1TB should be enough space for more than a year of recordings before videos are overwritten. So space isn't really an issue if you're using the motion sensor, and you can save videos to a flash drive if you want. I didn't know what to expect when buying a camera system, since there are so many options on the market, but this system seems to have it all for a very reasonable price when compared to other brands. Overall, I'm very pleased with this system. I have had it for a couple months now, and everything is working as good as day one. I would highly recommend, and due to the quality of the cameras, and overall value, this has exceeded my expectations!
