A:Â Check the pressure rating on your old switch. This one is rated .54 inch water column.
You would be safe if yours is too, If the pressure rating is un readable, you can verify with a clear 1/8" hose from the fan fitting into a small jar of water. Water should rise in the hose about 3/4 inch when the fan runs. If not, check the fan. A defective or blocked fan is dangerous.

Purchased this as a replacement for a defective vacuum switch on a Rheem water heater. This unit mounted and connected just like the old switch and worked fine. Would definitely recommend this as a replacement for a bad vacuum switch!
