Is it just a 120 regular plugin or does it need to be a 220 plugin

How can I adjust the temperature to 100 degrees to be use for Colon Hydrotherapy? When not in use I would just turn it off and turn on about an hours before at 100 degrees. The water would flow through a 1/4 clear tube and would adjust water flow to about 10 ounces per minute or a rate of 5 gal per hour. The temperature need to constant at 100 degrees!

Absolutely not!

What size is the tank? how much room do I need below the sink?

You need 18.5 inches of space in height (because of the safety valve) and only 9.5 inches in width. This should not be a problem for height (although you might have to tilt it to get in your cabinet at first), and I found that I could change my drain p-trap assembly slightly to let it get behind the assembly so that it doesn't have to sit int he front of the small sink cabinet.

yes, several of the reviews stated that.

Can you put an extension cord on it?

That would be a bad idea. These units and most other home applicances aren't meant for that. You can purchase a longer cord and replace it completely though.

I'm very pleased with this choice, fits my need perfectly. I installed the Rheem Performance 2.5 gal 6-Year 1440-Watt Single Element Electric Point-Of-Use Water Heater in my new Storage Building. It is installed in a lower 15" cabinet next to a utility sink - making it a perfect fit for this application. If you use all the hot water, the little heater recovers quickly (15 minutes from cold to hot - much faster for cool to warm). I have used Rheem products for many years and they make excellent products. My father owned a Plumbing Service and Construction Company when I was younger and we sold a lot of Rheem Water Heaters up to 50 gallons and some 100 gallon commercials. I recommend this 2.5 gal water heater for applications that fit it's capabilities. Pat

I have been using this heater ow for 3 weeks. It certainly heats up the water very fast and really hot if you turn it up. It is 2.5 gallons so the really hot water does not last long but I only wanted it for rinsing dishes and utensils at the sink. My home hot water heater is a long distance so it take about 3 minutes to start getting warm. I connected the hot water line to the cold figuring that by the time the small heater runs out of hot water I would start getting hot water from my home heater. But, it had filled up with cold water because of the distance it had to travel. It would have been nice if they would have included some 1/2" pipe nipples but I made a trip to the Home Depot. It really fits nicely under my sink.

This is my second location for one of these heaters. The first was under the kitchen sink (4 years old). This one on an outdoor shower. Easy install (If attaching with flex hoses, install a 10'' horizontal extension on the hot water side to "temper" the water before it enters the hose.).

Quality is expected from a Rheem unit. Easy to adjust thermostat (90-150 degrees if I remember correctly ). 2.5 gallons seems like it might be too small but it's plenty for a full size family. Mine is installed under my kitchen sink and I love it. My dishwasher is working better than ever , and that's without the expensive detergent! Super hot water > fancy soap. Disregard the pocket change in energy costs this little Rheem consumes in a year, look at how much money you save by buying standard dish detergent instead of the expensive alternatives. This thing will pay for itself in no time. Hotter water, cleaner dishes, AND saving money. It's crazy every house doesn't have one of these in the kitchen, most people dont even know these tiny water heaters exist.

This tiny water heater goes under the new bath vanity to boost the incoming hot water line so you always get warm water in 2 seconds without waiting for it to come from 70 feet away at the main tank.

Only in service a couple of months, it has performed flawlessly so far. I have used several pretty little POU heaters, with their plastic housings over the years. The performance was iffy, and they didn't last. Time will tell about the longevity of it, but I really like the miniature 'real water heater' construction of this one. Expecting good things.

Works great. Have instant hot water in seconds vs minutes. Connected the hot water line to the cold inlet of the unit. This way if we drain the unit we still have hot water from the main water heater. A more accessible temperature control would make the unit perfect.
