Purchase 22" water heater drain pan a must
I installed water heater with existing 20" pan and front water heater guard panel wouldn't fit with small pan. Purchased 22" drain pan and front guard panel went on with ease. New water heater was 2" taller than my old 2003 40 gallon water heater. Made top hoses a problem to install without kinks. Had to go with shorter upper hoses. Water heater works great and comes with a 12 year warranty. I also bought extended warranty for added 5 years.

Just purchased last month and so far, works great. Plenty of hot water and water pressure is back to normal. Hired a plumber to install so that went smoothly. Fit fine into a tight space.

This water heater works great, no problems. It's quieter than our old one, you can hardly hear it when the fire is on. I haven't heard any percolating after having it for one month. It seems very well insulated, the outside surface stays cold. One minor negative, the window for viewing the pilot light is very dark-smoked, and you can hardly see the tiny flame even with the room dark.

In the short period of time we have had this product installed, it has performed as I would expect it.
The water is heated fast and efficiently. I have several teenagers and they all love to take long showers. Since we have had this heater, hot water has not been a problem. This includes running the dishwasher and wash machine at the same time they are taking showers.
Lastly, I have not seen any increase in my gas bill but rather a slight decrease.

I was a little afraid of this product from the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the product is and how easy it was to install and start up. This installation is a little more challenging as it is in a recirculating water system. That means there is a pump and extra pipes and fittings. While the water heater is expensive (almost $800), the only other purchase that I needed was a $1.40 for rubber washers that go on the flex pipes to the hot and cold water connection. Everything else fit and worked perfectly. I can highly recommend this product.

I wanted to replace my 18+ year old water heater on my schedule and NOT when it started to leak. So with the help of my son to lift the 160 pound unit up onto its shelf, the unit was installed with minor difficulty. Tight space and weight were the issue and getting it into the pan now that all new units have no feet.
Only problem was seeing the pilot light. It is behind glass now for low emissions but a little tricky to see. Just following lighting instructions and you should be fine.
New temperature dial is much smaller than old one to temperature adjustments are very sensitive.
Heats water fast. No issues. 10 days after installing.
