Rheem Commercial Universal Gas Water Heaters are designed to fit into tight retrofit applications and have the features and capacity to meet heavy duty demands. The tighter the commercial retrofit, the more you will appreciate how the Universal's compact size and multiple water connections simplify installations. Top, Front and Rear water inlets/outlets offer installation flexibility giving this water heater the name: Universal. Please Note: This model requires a 120-Volt power source.

California and Utah residents (Utah effective 7/1/18): this water heater does not meet ultra-low NOX (ULN) emissions requirements, regulations prohibit the sale, shipment or installation of this water heater in any air quality district that requires ULN water heaters

A: Hi Jean and thank you for your question. The unit you linked would produce as high and as low as - 485 - 138 GPH (gallons per hour). at it's lowest the unit would run several fixtures at the same time.

This water heater was just what we needed to replace...

This water heater was just what we needed to replace the one that went down. It plumbed in easily and fired right up after the install. It wasnt so easy getting it into the basement as its about 700 lbs. If it lasts 22 years like the last one did I’ll bump this rating up to excellent.

Easiest to install and maintain.

Several hotels I am involved with have quite a few different water heaters. All the models with powered vents and fancy emissions parts are much more expensive to buy and install, always break down, and are insanely expensive to fix if anything goes wrong. The Rheem Universal's rarely have issues, and are easy to repair if they do. They simply work.
