Mounting screws break too easily
The hook is mounted with a single specialized screw that has threads on both ends. The only way to mount it is to screw one end into the hook, and then twist the hook into whatever you want to mount it to.
The screw is a really narrow diameter lightweight screw. Out of the 12 I purchased, 4 of the screws have twisted off and broken while trying to mount them to a wood back plate, even though I had drilled pilot holes.
The specialized mounting screws are not off the shelf items, so you cannot just replace the mounting screws. You have to replace the whole hook. I've now wasted 4 of these, and still haven't finished the project. It's getting expensive, and I'm highly annoyed.
Do not buy these. Even if you can get them mounted correctly, I wouldn't put money on their longevity.
