You can permanently mount or move as need, depending on area you want to secure, from watching the backyard, children in the house, or security while out of town. We are happy with the camera in the backyard, so we decided to purchase one for the front yard and driveway. Our home does not have a lot of windows in the front, you can't see what is going on if you need to. With this product, you can use the app on your phone and live stream. You can talk through the camera or hit siren to scare off any intruders or bears. You need to download the Ring App to set-up following the directions on the screen. I already have the Ring App on my iPhone, so I just had to add a device, scan the Q code on the product. You decide the physical placement from inside the home or outside. It can be mounted on a shelf, a wall (inside or outside) or on the ceiling (inside or outside). The mounting bracket swivels and is made to handle all these choices. You can have shared users. You can link your other Ring Products together. I linked it to the Ring chime. Set up is very easy, it guides you through every step on your iPhone, or computer. Absolutely love this product. We recently added a few of these cams in our house when we travel. They can be placed anywhere due to them being battery operated and it allows us to check in on our kitty from time to time. They are motion-triggered so we can see when she’s out and about, when our pet sitter shows up, or there is any unexpected motion inside the house.

We put in a pool this summer and I was very concerned about making sure it was safe. But, due to a challenging location we couldn’t put in a wired camera. This Ring Stick Up camera was the perfect solution. We bought the optional solar panel attachment so we wouldn’t have to change the rechargeable battery. It works like a dream. It has a very wide range of visibility and also has sound and speaker features. It synced up effortlessly with the Ring app and other devices we have. The only reason I couldn’t rate it 5 star is because the speaker is very quiet and is not adjustable on it so people outside can barely hear you. Other than that, this is a brilliant solution for home safety and security.
