Solid product for the price it was purchased at...on sale...
Solid product for the price it was purchased at...on sale for 40. Obviously the only missing star is because video quality is better om the higher grade items but definitely great for the price, small and compact, easy to install, app is solid and runs smooth.

Quick & easy install / setup. Works well.
Bought the wired model to replace existing door bell (no re-charging/swapping out battery packs). Initialization times out quickly so don’t install faceplate right away. A wire nut works in lieu of chime jumper. Wireless chime is a bit wonky, but works.

Selling opened box as new?
I was excited to replace my Aiphone system with this but disappointed that it didn't work at all. Not only the box was resealed but the doorbell itself had issue with WiFi even though the WiFi strength was RSSI 54. Live view just kept disconnecting and the video/sound quality was awful too. Either HomeDepot or Ring was reselling opened box defective return as new, and now I have to waste time returning this piece of junk.

no night vision due to led
This was easy to install, works great during the day but the night vision doesn’t work due to really bright led ring that shines on the bricks next to the door bell.

Exactly as expected, great smart doorbell!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ring wired video doorbell is exactly as advertised and what we expected out of the Ring doorbell. The motion detection and notification is ideal for when you are home or away. The video quality is excellent. The phone app interface is easy for all levels of personal technology experience. Your doorstep is at your fingertips at all times! Note that this doorbell does not ring your existing doorbell chime noise, however, it “rings” your smart device hook up (our home is Alexa), or a Ring Chime setup. The installation is simple when you already have a doorbell wired. That was my situation so my review is based upon having existing wiring for the Ring doorbell. I would definitely recommend the Ring Doorbell wired (no need for batteries) to any homeowner. Peace of mind is a great feeling!

Love our new Ring video doorbell!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re not overly technology savvy and don’t have many smart devices in our home yet, so we were a little nervous about installing and using this Ring video doorbell. My husband struggled a bit with the installation instructions and syncing to our phones/apps – probably took him about an hour (should have only taken him 15 minutes haha) to install the doorbell and apps with set-up on two phones. And we’re still getting familiar with all of the doorbell’s features, but so far, we love it! The video is crisp with a broad view of our neighborhood – we can clearly see the six houses across the street from us. The two-way talk is clear. The motion detection picks up everything, I may have to turn that off as I get notifications constantly! :) We paired with Alexa to get the doorbell to ring on Alexa (since this model does not work with our existing doorbell). We do a lot of online shopping due to COVID, so having the Ring video doorbell makes me feel more secure about the packages being delivered. I also feel more safe when answering the door now that I can view and talk to the person at the door before opening it. And to view/answer the door when I'm not home is super cool!

Good daytime camera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few different ring devices and this one didn't stand of to the others. Installation instructions were very easy to follow making it a quick process. I like that is uses the existing wires from my old doorbell for power so I don't have to worry about charging a battery. The camera works fine during the day. I was however pretty disappointed with the low-light/night-time video. Even with the porch light on, the image is fairly dark. Other than that, it works great and I would not go without having one. I also highly recommend the protection plan which allows you to save recording. This feature is a must have.

If you haven't already, please enable the color night vision feature in the Ring app. To turn the color night vision on or off, follow these instructions:
Open your Ring app.
Tap the three lines in the upper left side of the screen.
Tap Devices.
Select your Ring Video Doorbell Wired.
Tap Device Settings.
Tap Video Settings.
Tap Color Night Vision.
Tap the Enable/Disable color night vision to turn the feature on/off.

Ring Video Doorbell Wired
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received, Ring Video Doorbell Wired. It took me a bit to get it up and running. The instructions were clear up until it comes to the Doorbell section. I think the instructions could better clarify that the system doesn't work with existing doorbell ringer itself. I ran into a problem with the wires from old door bell and had to find a different 18 volt source. Once I did that the rest was a breeze. It works beautifully and was easy to setup on my phone. I feel safer with the security ring system brings my family. I highly recommend this product to every family for added protection for
their home.

It worked with a doorbell buzzer from the 80’s.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is magic. I have other ring products that I love and was excited about adding another to the setup. This time, I was going to install the video doorbell on the equipment that originally came with the house. I was sure that I would need to upgrade the doorbell or transformer but when I checked everything, it looked like it might just work with a simple swap and it did. Not only was the installation easy (under 10 min) the thing that really caught me off guard was that it changed the way the buzzer sounded. The original tone was a buzz that would sound as long as you held the button down. The new sound was a melodic chime, I never knew that the buzzer could make a different sound.
Installation was quick, cost is right (msrp), and connecting the doorbell to the app was easy with the help of the QR code located on the product or the card. This one of the easiest and most fun smart home upgrades that anyone can do.
Subscription costs:
You can use this product without a subscription. The doorbell does basic functions such as sending notifications and allowing you to interact (notifications you’ve selected, you can see live video and talk) with visitors with other smart devices like a smart phone, Alexa displays, etc.
However, if you want to record and retrieve video and photos, you need to upgrade to the subscription. Given the cost of the device, I’m ok with the subscription service because they have a pricing scheme that increases in value the more devices you have and I have a number of devices. You can buy a subscription for a single device or unlimited devices.
For me, this is absolutely a ‘buy’ type of product.
