I have a flexible luxury vinyl tile (Spacia by Amtico) that I want to put down on a plywood floor that has some old glue residue on it from previous floor. Is this a better product than Armstrong S-750 (the other choice at Home Depot)? Amtico recommends their product, an acrylic latex adhesive. Is Roberts 2310 a strong enough acrylic latex adhesive that can be used so I don't have to hunt around and spend more for the Amtico adhesive?

Honestly, I don't know if it is better than another, but I used this to put down luxury vinyl flooring on my stairs and worked great. You need to let is set for a bit before placing the tiles.

The outside of this container says its good for luxury vinyl tile. However in some of the answers it is mentioned that it is not intended for vinyl. Whats the reality? I plan on using it to lay luxury vinyl tile over hardwood floors in the bathroom. Will this work well?

Yes we used this adhesive over sturdy old tile in bathroom to install new vinyl flooring and it worked great!

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, as soon as the subfloor has been prepped. See below. Subfloors must be structurally sound, dry, smooth, flat (≤ 3/16" within 10'), level and free of excess moisture/alkali and all substances (oil, wax, grease,paint, oil based sealers, adhesive residue, mortar debris, etc.) that may inhibit the bond of the adhesive or the performance of the flooring or its installation.All substrate cracks, chips, holes, joints, high spots and irregularities must be adequately repaired. Expansion or other moving joints must not be filled or covered with flooring. Patching compounds must be suitable for the use application, cement based and polymer-modified,and applied according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

I would like to use peel-and-stick vinyl tiles to cover the floor, walls, and ceiling in a very small bathroom, but I have heard that the adhesive on these tiles is not very effective. Could I roll this adhesive on those surfaces and glue the tiles to them?

I would call/email Roberts or the vinyl tile manufacturer for adhesive compatibility.......although 2310 is a great product when used correctly.
