Roberts Soft Stride 100 sq. ft. roll is a dense foam underlayment that provides excellent sound reduction under laminate and engineered flooring when applied as a floating application. It is unknown how it would perform or be applied in a vertical application.

This product provides moisture protection from concrete substrate moisture emissions. Roberts Soft Stride is a dense closed cell foam underlayment that provides excellent moisture protection with the pre-attached over lap component. This underlayment also provides sound reduction under laminate and engineered flooring. This product is tolerant up to the Flooring Manufacturer's Moisture Emissions Tolerance.

Good day, Our underlayment tape does need to be purchased separately as it does not come with the Underlayment purchase. Our Soft Stride Underlayment does come with an adhesive strip and a 3" overlap film for installation, but it does not come with a roll of our underlayment tape. Thank you for choosing QEP! For nail down solid hard wood flooring over a wood subfloor you may want to consider: Roberts SVS Silicone Vapor Shield.For use with staple and nail down installations of solid and engineered wood floors.

Thank you for your inquiry. No Adhesive required. This underlayment "floats" over concrete substrates and above grade wooden subfloors. Simply roll out the underlayment. The product Includes an adhesive strip and a 3" overlap film for linking multiple rolls together during installation. This 2 mm thick foam provides excellent sound reduction under floating engineered and laminate flooring.

Thank you Sergio for your inquiry. We are unsure what you mean by needing added protection from cuts. Please call our Customer Service who will be able to assist you fully. Always perform a moisture test on your sub floor before installing your floor. The moisture level should not exceed the level recommended by the flooring manufacturer. If moisture levels are elevated we recommend that the moisture issue is resolved. Once this is resolved then it is recommended that you use a moisture vapor barrier in addition to the underlayment.
