Yes, 1509 is a high performance, 100% solids moisture-cure urethane adhesive formulated to develop a highly elastomeric bond that moves with the normal expansion and contraction of wood flooring. This premium adhesive has a tough, flexible, tenacious bond and is ideal for glue down bamboo flooring. Subfloors must be structurally sound, dry, smooth, flat (≤ 3/16" within 10'), level and free of excess moisture/alkali and all substances (oil, wax, grease, paint, oil based sealers, adhesive residue, etc.) that may inhibit the bond of the adhesive or the performance of the flooring or its installation.
Yes, we did
Yes, this product can be used for that application.
That is the only size I looked everywhere I had to buy it and only used a third of it what a waste
It is very expensive and you have to buy 4 gallons even if need a little to finish the job you have to spend many dollars . It’d be available in smaller quantities when you need just a little
There is no solvent in the product. It cures from the moisture in the air. I used MEK to clean up the trowel
no goes right on sub floor
Not as far as you would think. I would estimate around 100 Sq Ft per bucket.
Hey Dkv: We did use 1509 on certain spots with underlayment; it worked. Note, we did not use it end to end on underlayment.
Urethane adhesive glued very well. It's very strong. so be careful to use it. suggest to buy urethane adhesive cleaner or towelette to clean the mess.
