DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Used these adhesive tack strips in hopes of not destroying the concrete sub floor. Only 24 hours later, I noticed the carpet pulled away from the baseboard by a 1/2". Very surprising because the carpet was barely stretched. The tack strips separated from the adhesive and have completely failed, so I got the privilege to re-lay the tack strip the old school way! Pure waste of time and money. DON'T BUY!!! Unless you enjoy doing the same thing twice...

What a great product! I am currently updating my basement and I pulled up old carpet and padding so I can lay new, but I wanted to add a section of the floor vinyl tile and did not know how I was going to transition from carpet to vinyl. I did not want to damage the concrete floor adding new tack strips where there wasn't before, so this product is just perfect for me. I am currently playing with layout before attaching to floor (as seen in picture).

Needs better adhesive
This is a great concept except for one problem. The adhesive on the tax strips is not strong enough if you need to stretch the carpet. We wasted an entire evening cleaning the concrete with alcohol. Then allowing it to dry, and then putting the tax strips down. We allowed them to sit overnight started to stretch the carpeting out and they pulled right out from the concrete
