Roberts Power-Loc Premium Heat Bond Carpet Seaming Tape Roll provides reinforced scrim for installing carpet. 11 beads of premium adhesive give this tape the stronger, quicker grab needed to seam deep-ribbed and coarse-backed carpets. For use with ActionBac, AdBac, SmartBac, Jute, SoftBac, Axminster, Wilton and Knitted carpets.
  • Contractor grade hot melt adhesive
  • 3-1/2 in. tape is ideal for moderate to high traffic residential and commercial installations
  • 22% more adhesive for additional grab in deep ribbed and coarse-backed carpets

I made several patches with this tape. I placed the tape under the seams and put a wet towel down...
I made several patches with this tape. I placed the tape under the seams and put a wet towel down on carpet and used a regular clothes iron to heat it up. You gotta use the wet towel with this method to create the steam that will penetrate the carpet. Worked great!
