Product Overview

The heavy-duty JawHorse eliminates the need to call over a neighbor just to help you hold a project. Keep your hands free to use your tools instead of using them to brace your work. And raise your project off of the floor and up to a comfortable working height. The JawHorse is really a 3-in-1 as it has workbench, vice, and machine press functionality. It’s strong enough to handle metal bending or straightening, made of solid steel with 10x the clamping force of a standard vice, and boasts the industrial pressing power of a one-ton machine press. It’s 43 lbs, which is substantial, but it needs to be to support 600 lbs projects with 1 ton of clamping pressure. Though it’s designed with a whole host of features to make it easy to use. The rear leg doubles as a handle, and the front legs have unlockable wheels, so you can raise the back and push it around the job site like a wheelbarrow. Plus, the foot pedal does much of the clamping work for you, leaving your hands truly free. It’s 33” x 15.5” x 15” when standing. And it’s backed by a hefty 5-year Rockwell limited warranty because they’re confident in the performance of their tools.
  • [ALL STEEL CONSTRUCTION] Built to last and built to hold your most important projects while your hands stay free to use your tools
  • [CAN HOLD A STANDARD 36” DOOR] With up to 37” of clamping range and a 3/8” per step clamping method
  • [1 TON OF CLAMPING FORCE] 2200 lbs of pressure means the project isn’t going anywhere, and with a max load of 600 lbs it can handle a lot
  • [NO MAR PADS] Made from urethane, so they grip the material without leaving any marks, perfect for premium woodworking projects
  • [TRIPOD BASE] Three perfectly positioned legs actually provide more support on uneven ground than four legs would
  • [EASY TO MOVE] Easy to store. With quick-release leg latches the JawHorse quickly folds down and unlockable wheels make it easy to push
  • Auto-locking legs for safe setup
  • California residents

Answer

It doesn't make a difference. Once folded up it is becomes one solid mass which locks together. You can even carry it around by the built in handle. If I had a one car garage I would put brackets on a wall and hang it up out of they way, or you can just lay it in front of where you park your car on the floor. Just remember, it is heavy so you may need help lifting it onto the brackets and make sure the brackets are drilled into secure studs.

Are the "scooter wheels" included or to you have to supply them?

Asked by len November 26, 2019

Answer

When I purchased mine the wheels were built right into the unit. They are very handy because of the heavy weight of the Jawhorse.

I love this product. I do chainsaw carving and this makes sure my project stays put. Its easy to set up and tear down. It's built tough. This is a must have for anything you need held in place. It also saves the back keeping your job elevated to a comfortable height. I'd totally recommend this product.

Powerful and versatile assistant
I have had my Jawhorse for going on Two years I think. It was a gift and when I received it I wasn't sure what I would do with it. Well,I honest to goodness use it for every project that leaves my shop. I've used it to hold boards for sanding, to hold boards for cutting, holding logs to cut, hold a piece of wood with my go pro mounted on it, I've used it to hold my trim router and made it work like a router table, I clamp my ridgid thickness planer in it to get it off the floor and plane tons of wood that way. I use it just about every time I'm in the shop. It's strong, well built and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. Clamping pressure is enough that you need not be concerned if it's enough (it's alot!). I would highly recommend this to anyone and have done so on many occasions.

NOT JUST FOR WOODWORKING GUYS
Using my Rockwell jaw horse as a shooting table to sight in my Crossbow and rifles this year. It locks onto my Caldwell lead sled and holds it solid as a rock. Got this baby dialed in at thirty yards dead on the money in three shots due to the steadiness of the jaw horses three leg design. Should market this to the hunting and shooting world. It makes a fantastic shooting table. Just a thought. Thanks Rockwell

Great Portable work station!
I have recently started doing power carving and needed something tho hold the work piece securely. Tried several bench style wood vises put they weren't big enough and they were inside my shop where the wood chips and dust were a problem. I then saw this online and decided to try it out. Wow it is the perfect clamping system for just about any thing you need to be rock steady and it's portable! Made from quality heavy duty materials that will give you a lifetime of service. I would definitely recommend this to any one, professional or amateur, for it is a great tool.

be careful
I enjoyed the jawhorse until the clamp slide, slide off the base hit the concre floor and bent the slide underneath the clamp. Then when you go to put it back on it's a no go. Then ,try to hammer it back into shape it grabs and binds, sliding is now forced iF at all

Good, solid purchase
It's heavy and a bit awkward to set up, but once assembled it provides a real solid portable work bench. It seems more solid than my old Workmate, and that was a prime motivation in the purchase. I fashioned a small work table top out of 3/4" plywood and now I can do almost any job with the Jawhorse.
