Questions & Answers

Yes, but the shadows under the bricks are not as deep and pronounced like those of a stacked stone paper would be ( a more obvious 3D deeper stone shadow than a naturally flatter brick would have.) This pattern looks very realistic, in my opinion, and people who have seen this in my home automatically run their hand over the wall to check for some kind of texture.

As long as its a smooth flat surface.

This is rolled up in a clamshell.

Will it stick to pre existing wallpaper or do I have to remove old paper?

As long as the Wallpaper is being put on a smooth flat surface.

(What's this)
Loving the look of this brick wallpaper! Also love that it is self-stick, doesn't involve any paste or glue, and will not leave any residue behind when we take it down in the future. Pretty low cost and labor investment! It would be EXTREMELY difficult for one person to do this job alone, at least in the beginning. Best to have two people or you'll rip your hair out! It says on the instructions that it won't stick to textured walls, but our newly built home has orange peel texture and it's sticking to it just fine. I think the trick is using a good tool, like a thick plastic wallpaper smoother. You'll see in my attached photos how air bubbles popped up after 24 hours because I hadn't used a smoother tool, but I was able to smooth them out using a good tool and they haven't returned. If you use a good smoother when you hang it to begin with, you should be in pretty good shape. VERY IMPORTANT: Hang the first strip as squarely as possible or else it's going to negatively affect every sheet thereafter and you'll get a wonky look! It took us a good hour to get the first strip lined up properly as no wall is ever completely square. Also be sure to leave a little extra at the top and bottom and don't trim until after the install is complete so you get a clean, straight, sharp look. Also, be very careful not to pull, tug or stretch in any direction. If you do, your pattern won't line up perfectly from sheet to sheet. I've attached a photo where you can see the effect of my pulling a little too hard on one piece which threw off the alignment with the next piece. To line up the pattern without wasting too much paper we had to turn the next sheet over and upside down. Not sure why that worked, but it did!

(What's this)
Review based on having installed two panels so far. We are actually installing the white brick in one room, and the red brick in a different room. My review is based on having installed the white brick peel and stick wallpaper first. The instructions provided are thorough, simple and easy to follow. But here are some words to the wise to know before you hang your first panel. First: pay attention to the suggested supplies, you will need all of them. The wallpaper will likely bubble and peel off the wall in some places if you do not read the instructions in advance and especially if you don't use some type of tool to smooth the paper against the wall. Using that tool at the end is what prevents your paper from bubbling up within the first 24 hours. Once I used a smoothing tool, my wallpaper stayed stuck to the wall. Second: It would be EXTREMELY difficult for one person to do this job alone, at least in the beginning. Best to have two people or you'll rip your hair out! Third: It says on the instructions that it won't stick to textured walls, but our newly built home has orange peel texture and it's sticking to it just fine. I think the trick is using that good smoothing tool, like a thick plastic wallpaper smoother. If you have textured walls, it's still worth giving at least one panel a try to see if it will stick. There's a good chance that it will. Fourth, and VERY IMPORTANT: Hang the first strip as squarely as possible or else it's going to negatively affect every sheet thereafter and you'll get a wonky look! It took us a good hour to get the first strip lined up properly as no wall is ever completely square. Also be sure to leave a little extra at the top and bottom and don't trim until after the install is complete so you get a clean, straight, sharp look. Fifth: Be very careful not to pull, tug or stretch in any direction. If you do, your pattern won't line up perfectly from sheet to sheet. Sixth: To line up the pattern without wasting too much paper we had to turn the next sheet over/upside down. We love that it is self-stick, doesn't involve any paste or glue, and will not leave any residue behind when we take it down in the future. This is a very low commitment, low cost and labor investment product that provides high impact relatively easily!

This brick is absolutely beautiful. It was the exact look I was going for. The reason I give it 3 stars is because of this. When we put the vinyl up it all matched together perfectly. The pieces overlapped maybe an 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch. The wall that we put it on was an interior bedroom wall which on the other side of the wall was the outside. The weather turned cold, and my perfectly pieced together wall started to not be perfect after about a week of cold weather. The vinyl pieces seem to have shrunken due to the cold, and now there is an 1/8 inch gap between my strips of vinyl. I'm not sure how to fix the problem. I'm guessing that when the weather turns warmer I may have to unpeel the vinyl and stretch it out (??). I'm still happy with the look, which makes it sadder that there is this problem.

I purchased this because I moved into a rental that had a kitchen painted burgundy. While I Iiked the color, it was too much. Ordered this product, it arrived sooner than expected, and was a perfect match for what I wanted to accomplish. This was my first attempt at wallpapering and I was surprised how easy the product was to use. Even with a couple of blunders on my part, I am very pleased with the result.

It really did a great job to cover up the ugly green marble on the vintage Fireplace Mantel I bought to make it look more like old bricks. If I could only post before and after photos you could see and judge for yourself. I just love the look now.
