yes it can i use them on the job site every day they cut like butter just dont hit anything like nails or staple. they also make a 1/8 bit which is thicker and your roto zip should have the right collar that came with it. also the roto zip is just like a small router

if your drill press has a lot of rpm it would work or just get a roto zip and mount it like a press
no the bit would heat up too quick the make a mason bit that would work much better
