PVC moulding is great for exterior use, but I've actually used the PVC trim in my son's room because it takes more of a beating than wood or MDF trim. Cutting and installation is essentially the same as any other type of trim. My number one reason for recommending this product can be seen in my photo. So many items these days are imported, but this trim is made in the USA and is a good quality product.

Designed to be used around bricks and other trim as a decorative piece as well as functional to keep water from getting in when installed properly. It is made of PVC so it will not rot and holds up very well to the elements. It is primed white and ready for a finish coat of you color choice. We have use the PVC drip cap on all of our new windows and have replaced some of the wooden drip caps with the PVC drip caps. We recently used this product on our new exterior french doors.
