      A:  Yes, the moulding can be painted or stained.

        A:  It is PVC. It will accept paint but not oil based products. It's got no pores to soak into for the oil based products. The paint drys on top and adhere's just fine.

          A:  Yes with some work and the right primer/paint. Sand to rough the the extremely smooth surface, use a good quality primer (Sherwin Williams) and good quality paint. Staining would take some test/trial time. I put stain on, let it sit over night, wiped right off the next day with a dry cloth.
