            Worked well with a chimney
Very potent. Flames are consistent and strong. Used with a chimney, and hardwood lumps. Save yourself the hassle of using lighter fuild or a bellow device. After about 10mins., simple dump the charcoal or wood lump from the chimney, and you are set. Invest in the chimney, and this fire starter. Attached a photo with a portable grill.

              My favorite charcoal starter
I use these with my chimney to start my charcoals. They don't give off excess fumes or leave a taste on the charcoal. Makes my life easier. BTW. I light them on my grill and place my chimney full of charcoal on top of them. Voila! Hot coals and no big flare ups.

Royal Oak…. Fire Starters Are the best way to light Briquettes either with a charcoal chimney or just stacked up in a pyramid shape, a very quick, easy, and clean way to get the Ole BBQ fired up. These fire starters are perfect for any style BBQ or for a camp fire, I use mine with a charcoal chimney under my patio since there is no soot or residue I have no clean up and it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get the coals blazing hot. A great product

I would have given it 5 stars. But then I found several splinters in multiple fingers that were EXTREMELY PAINFUL due to opaque color. Making it severely difficult to locate for hours (one finger took 3 days and a trip to urgent care it was that hard to find). So while they are great at starting fires, there really should be a warning to wear gloves while handling this product.
