I love the feel and traction these provide. They are also very easy to cut to width. The downside is that nothing seems to stick to them. I had one spare mat so I did some testing before installation. I cleaned it and tried three different types of adhesive. first was the recommended polyurethane type, then another construction adhesive and a contact cement. None of them bonding to the mat well at all. All could be peeled off. Contacted the manufacturer but I got no response.

Good quality rubber. They are thick and well made- like they will hold up for many years. The coin surface has an upscale, clean look and the edging and craftsmanship is quite a notch above the other bargain ones I was considering. They do smell like rubber. No buyer remorse... For my budget, this is a bit of a splurge but i want to do this once and once only.

Installed these on basement steps, inside the house. They are heavy duty and anticipate they will last a long time. I had to cut them on the sides, and used a utility knife with a new blade. They cut easily, I made a jig to size each step and was careful to knife them, it usually took two passes. Installed them over the steps that were painted toward the back and the riser. The front of the step required double sided tape to keep it down (occasionally feet will kick it when going up), the top/step side does not require the tape. Note this is for an inside the house installation. It took a few months for the smell to dissipate. The rubber is very thick and they should prevent slipping. They met our needs and would certainly recommend them
