The Rubbermaid 47 1/2 in. White Twin Track Upright helps you quickly and easily install shelving right where you want it. The upright mounts directly to the wall, helping to keep your shelves secure. Q:Planning to buy two 48" twin track upright and going to place them 8" apart in drywall with anchors. How many shelves can I mount on this upright? I'm thinking to have 4 shelves. Will that be an issue?

A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. Our Twin Track Uprights can be directly mounted into drywall with the proper hardware. We recommend using a studs for support when mounting shelving systems. Most studs are normally spaced 16" apart. The Amount of shelves that you can install on this depends on the height between the shelves. Keep in mind that when the system is installed accordingly to the assembly instructions, they can hold up to 350 pounds per upright.

      Q:How far apart do these twin track uprights need to be? My studs are 24 inches apart - is it ok to attach 3 of the uprights to the studs that are 24 inches apart for 48 inch long shelves (3 brackets per shelf)?

      A:  I would use 3 tracks for a 48 inch shelf. you do not need a stud for mounting. instead you can use an anchor or a toggle bolt.

        A:  I believe 24 inch span between uprights should be fine. They are beefy and should handle the longer distance. Depending on what they will hold weight wise will determine the thickness of you shelving.

          A:  Thank you for your interest in our products and reaching out! The 48 in. White Twin Track Upright is intended to be spaced on 16" studs. You are able to install them on the 24 inch studs but please be advised that you would need to use a wall anchor when attaching a upright to the wall that doesn't have a stud. Please also be advised that where we recommended for all uprights to be installed into studs that the weight as advised may not be accurate as if they were in studs.

            Good shelf standard at a great length and price
            I liked the length of this shelf standard. If you think about it, you don't need to go all the way to the ceiling or all the way to the floor. This standard was just the right length. I installed it 16" off the floor and it was just right . Saves a few dollars this way. The standard was sturdy and installed easily. I used a laser level to line things up as I did the install and it really sped things up and increased accuracy.

            These things are great! Worked well with the hang track, shelf brackets, and shelves that we ordered. We did struggle to find screws that fit in the holes, but that probably had more to do with our inexperience with home projects and the challenges of ordering everything sight-unseen through websites while quarantining during a pandemic. :) We finally got it to work using screws, wall anchors, and washers. These shelves aren't going anywhere.

            Go to the store and make sure they match!
            So we ordered these online, and were about to install them, when we realized that the holes for the brackets didn't line up the entire length of the track! That would be a HUGE PROBLEM if you want level shelving. So we returned those, but had already purchased Rubbermaid brand everything else did we went back to the store. It took up about 10 minutes of comparing tracks to find 2 of them that were the exact same length and all the bracket holes lined up. Once we found 2 that matched, they're great. Super study, easy to install (don't forget the hardware pack!), And I like them. So just make sure to inspect what you buy IN THE STORE, because you need to make sure your tracks match

              Strong and adjustable perfect for making space in closets, utility room,any rooms making whatever you need to accommodate different size objects while being able to hold a lot of weight. Was using plastic shelving wasted way too much space after installing adjustable shelves put everything back and only used half of the shelving space.
