The shed is great, but the directions were pretty terrible. In addition to the directions not being very clear at times, none of the hardware parts were labeled with the reference letters they were called in the instructions, so we had to guess what was what. We've put together many different things before and the hardware is always labeled clearly, but not here. Also, the film covering the windows was nearly impossible to peel off and probably took at least one hour to do just that! (Nor was it clear that we were supposed to peel off the covering.) There is also an option to add two 6x2s to the roof (recommended for areas of extreme temps.) that we decided we should do since we live where it's very hot, but you wouldn't know to go get that in advance without having read through all the instructions online beforehand. The only reason we looked up the instructions beforehand was because we were advised to first put down a concrete pad, so we needed the specs/dimensions for that. All things considered, it all came together very nicely except that the door is not easy to open/close and requires a bit of a kick, but overall very happy with it. We've only had it a few weeks, but it stood up to rain and there were no leaks! There's a lot of room inside and the skylights actually provide a surprising amount of light inside.

After patient assembly on level ground this shed is a very spacious, very durable, very enjoyable , and very leak proof. I recommend the 2x6 roof beam reinforcement detailed in the owners manual. Ideal for bike storage if bike locked securely and not in carton. Security is the one weak point--a very substantial weakness--because a lock in the door hasp works to a trespasser's/thief's advantage for breaking in and breaking the lock hasp; which furthermore is not designed to be anywhere near easily replaced. After losing 2 premium mowers ($800plus) all lawn maintenance equipment ($600plus) and other tools and an old bike and new bike in carton ($270) I wish I had built a fence and gate around the shed. Now, I just have a very nice, empty shed. I recommend the shed if you have inside or secure site to locate it on, or a way to block access to the door. Rubbermaid needs to rethink the lock mechanism from the viewpoint of less vulnerable locking or, at least replace-ability of the hasp so readily broken to get inside. Another idea would be modification to allow the door to be user chained in addition to hasp locking--for example, two invulnerable eyelets on the sides or corner and a chain eye or support in a door to support owner's chain across front of doors. My rating is not tops only because the $900 investment cost my two "shed's worth" and more in losses; and because there is no competitor product on the market. So average it actually a compliment and the shed cannot be better than itself..

Great Buy!! It solved my HVAC Business storage and organization problem.
This shed went up easier and quicker than taking my old one apart. Entire project took us under 3 hours with the base as well.

Ok, but not as good as I thought
I've had numerous Rubbermaid storage products in the past, so I didn't think twice about buying this when I needed something bigger. Overall, it's ok. Assemble was fairly easy. I just took my time one step at a time. Needed the help of my buddy for about 10 minutes at certain times. These are the issues I have: The floor warped almost immediately. And it's sitting on a cement slab that I put in just for this unit. The doors don't line up correctly. I still need to deal with this. The handle's a joke. I changed it out for a different one. It doesn't work with add-ons like their other products. I wanted something to hold shovels, ect. Bought a Rubbermaid product for this. Didn't work with this unit. I modified it to make it work. Like I said, it's okay, but I would not recommend this product. I the future, I will try out one of Rubbermaid's competitors.

    Love Rubbermaid Sheds
I have an old 7 x 7 Max shed, it's about 10 years old. It's been put together and taken apart and put together 4 times during the times I've moved. I purchased this one because I needed a shed to hold 4x8 goods. I ordered it sometime in December. Third party shipping was kinda a pain....getting scheduled....but perhaps I was very anxious to get it. The driver helped me get the massive boxes up to where I wanted to install. So, I built the base with 2x4's and plywood on both sides. Leveled it and started assembly. It's very easy to assemble compared to some of the other brands. Always use the 2x6 option. However.....it was in the low 30's F to mid 30's F. Not a good temp to assemble. Tabs don't pop in very easily, but I was desperate to get 4x8 goods out of my home studio space. I couldn't get them to pop in all over, so I wound up strapping it down at the roofs 4 seam locations until summer. My only complaint is the floor. It's not as sturdy as the one 10 years ago. I already poked a small hole in it and don't know how. I may of dropped a pry bar on it, not sure. My 7x7 came with a few shelves, and a basket. This one didn't. It did come with hardware to mount peg board. Also, I think it should come with 4 skylights. It only comes with 2. I also found out that one of the side panels wasn't quite right and rises up 1/2" past the others adding to popping the roof panels on. I called Rubbermaid customer service and they are awesome.....they are shipping me a replacement panel free. About 4 years ago, I moved and had to reassemble my 7x7. I'd lost the screws and clips in moving. Rubbermaid sent them to me for free. Follow the directions, use the 2x6 members suggested under the roof, and although I did most of the assembly myself you will need someone to help with the roof panels unless you want to spend HOURS cursing. Be patient, read directions, step back and look at your work.....and you will have success. I plan to buy another one and install IN THE SUMMER. Check with your home owners association and city codes too. some HOA's won't let you put them up, and city has codes about how far they can be from the street, etc. Save the instructions......in case you want to move and take it with you. Put them in a drawer or lodge them somewhere in the shed so you don't lose them. Installing during hot weather highly recommended!!!!!!

Marginal, but wrong image didn't provide what I expected
The image on the Home Depot website shows a woman walking through a back door. There is no back door to this model shed. I specifically bought this shed so I could walk through it. When I called HD the representative confirmed the image was in error but the specifications didn't mention 2 entryways. The specs do say 2 doors but that means 2 doors in one entryway. If you want a shed with one entryway, relatively easy to assemble this one would be OK.

Older version of this shed was good. Now the shed is defective.
I bought this shed about 5 years ago and it was of good quality and went together well on a blacktop drive, so I disregarded the negative reviews and bought another one. I'm returning it because the newer version has a different floor that is of poor quality, is weak, and is not square. We assembled this one on a new concrete slab. The first 3 side panels (labeled C) were too long to fit into the floor, so the last panel hung outside the edge of the floor. Also when the walls and gables were fully assembled, the doors overlapped as so not to close. (the door-hinge holes are too close together) The roof panels with windows, were bowed and no matter how hard we struggled they would not slide into the center beam.

            Fair
Have had this for a month now. Set up was harder than it should have been. First problem, Shed floor is 10 ft. - 8 inches not 10 ft. - 6 inches. Had a concrete pad poured and shed is 2 inches over it. I had to use pavers to support the door area. Walls don't always lock in to the floor and can be difficult trying to do so. I have one wall that has a clip that I just couldn't get to engage the flooring. spent a half hour trying. The corner panels have to snap into the side panels in a similar fashion, finally got them to engage but it wasn't easy. Roof panels were bowed and took tremendous effort to install. One guy pushing and aligning and the other twisting and fitting in the ridge channel. The door latch is strange. Because of the design, you have to twist it upwards to unlatch the door as the cable gets in the way twisting downwards. I do recommend installing the optional 2 x 6 wooden roof supports. These give you a place to hang things like a bicycle hook or tool racks. Now that it is up I do like it but I would not purchase again. It would be easier to build out of wood.
