how does the cleaning pad attach?

The picture on the box shows the cleaning pad wrapped around the frame and somehow attached on all sides, but thre are no instructions on how to accomplish this. The best we seem to be able to do is stick the pad onto the velcro-like sufaces and let the extra part of the pad flop there. Is it really supposed to work like this .... is the picture on the box not an accurate depiction of how the mop is to look assembled and ready to perform?

How does the slide work

Loosen the 2 silver hex screws in base of the handle with the hex wrench included in the box. Slide the mop head to the desired position and tighten the screws.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleans well, but needs redesigned... The Ergo Reach Mop is nice that it will fit under the stove, radiator, and low sitting furniture. The mop head slide needs to be redesigned to make it easier to slide. I tried to adjust the screws with the enclosed wrench and that was a nightmare. The screw came completely out and the spring popped out. I alone could not put it back together again. I had to get help. The sliding mop head is either to loose and doesn't stay centered or it is to tight and difficult to move from side to side.The Comfort Grip Handle is nice as it is larger than most handles. I like that the handle extends to 67 inches making it fit the users height and getting to the hard to reach places. I really liked the way the disposable microfiber mop pad picked up everything. It can be used either wet or dry. However, I can not find replacements anywhere. Neither in the store nor on line. The reusable microfiber mop pad is easy to replace. It washes great. Even with the problems this mop has caused me it cleans well and I would recommend it to others.

I was looking for an old fashioned mop. This is nothing more than a Swiffer wet mop without the dispenser. Even though I locked the handle it still came loose while mopping. It is good for getting into corners and under the edge of things. Other than that I just feel like I am slopping water all around. There were no instructions in the box as indicated on the little packet with the Alm wrench. I had to come here to get some information. Some people are saying you only need to use water or spray. (how does that clean?) Before I came here to read all of this I tried to dip it in a bucket with Fabuloso. The mop head doesn't fit in a bucket. I also thought by the photo on the back of the box that the pad should wrap around the mop head. No, it just flaps. Not sure if I will keep it or return to Home Depot. I am thinking of having a professional come in and clean my floors. This might be okay to use after that. Certainly not good for deep cleaning.

I have been using a spin mop for years and I thought they were the best. Not anymore. I literally can mop my kitchen in about 20 seconds with this mop and wring it out in the sink in 20 seconds. I am ordering another just in case this one gets broken or lost. It also cleans better than any mop I have previously used. I am also ordering 12 new pads because I think it will be faster to clean them all at once then running to the sink to rinse the same pad over and over. I for the life of me, can't understand how people are so confused at how to work this mop. It works the same way as every other adjustable handle on the planet. Twist it counter clock wise to loosen and clock wise to tighten it. My girlfriend bought it and adjusted it so I never had to. But the other reviews made me curious. So I went and tried to adjust the handle. Yep it works just like any other adjustable handle on the planet. These reviews crack me up. How about the lady who was confused about it not fitting in a mop bucket? OMG LOL! I will say this mop has a couple of faults. First, is that the sliding head has plastic parts. It seems to be sturdy but who knows. (We have a care home for elderly and the whole house has non-skid tile that is very rough and it seems to hold up to scrubbing our tile fine) Second is the sliding head. Who ever heard of using a wrench to adjust a mop? What, are you expected to mop with a wrench in your pocket? I still give it 5 stars because I don't need to adjust it and the plastic parts (Might last forever). Just don't leave it in sunlight. I know it makes plastic brittle unless it's treated for UV (sunlight radiation). I store my mops in the closet not outside so I am not too worried.
