Great quality shelf
As we are changing our son's room from a young boy to a teenage room I thought shelves would be a great addition for his books and assembled legos! These shelves are great, it comes as a pack of two. These shelves are sturdy and fairly easy to hang the only issue I have is that they are really large and we have a fairly small house. They measure 32" long x 14" deep x 3/4" thick. I feel like they really stick out far from the wall in comparison to his desk. I think I just need to get used to them.

Nice shelf kit
Rubbermaid 32 in. Rapid Shelf Wood Kit 2 Shelf Mahogany, Brown
I like this Rubbermaid shelf kit. It's a full set up to make 2 shelves. The shelves are made of particle board and laminated with the brown mahogany wood. When they are all assembled with the end caps and supports, this shelf kit looks and works really good. Installation of the shelves is easy enough and the kit comes with all the necessary stuff to get them hung up. I'm not sure how much weight Rubbermaid says these shelves will hold, but they seem to be well built and solid feeling when properly installed. Overall an easy to install and good looking set of shelves.

Great shelf
We got this shelf because I needed additional shelves in our bedroom for my books. These shelves are easy enough to install and they are made of wood. Also they look great once they are put up. They are wider than my previous shelf so it holds more books. This shelf definitely met our expectations and would recommend it to others that would like a wood shelf

Heavy Duty shelves!
My wife wanted a couple of extra shelves in her quilting room and these are perfect! 14" deep x 32" wide and pretty easy to mount. Heavy duty metal brackets and support brackets insure these thick sturdy shelves will carry the weight. Installation took about an hour because I really had to be sure of the staggered location and height off the floor that she wanted. All in all a pretty easy job and they look great too!!

OK shelf for college dorm
This shelf set from Rubbermaid would be a good option for a dorm, or possibly even a rental unit. The melamine shelves are fairly thick, and the grain pattern on the finished sides is nice.
The shelves are only finished on the front. Sturdy plastic bumpers slide onto the sides to protect the edges. The metal struts are very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight if the unit is attached to studs.
The hardware package for installation comes with a ton of drywall anchors, but the wood is heavy enough that I don't know if I'd trust the unit's weight using only drywall anchors.
Nice enough to look at that it would be good for some uses where it's visible. Could be put in a utility room or closet, although because it's melamine, I wouldn't use it in damp locations like garages or bathrooms.

Very Nice Shelf Set
Rubbermaid 32 in. Rapid Shelf Wood Kit 2 Shelf Mahogany, Brown shelf set is much nicer than O thought it would be. The shelves are thick. The finish is very nice. The brackets are mor than sufficient to hold up the shelves. The shelves are wide, so they will hold larger items than the normal width shelves. The brackets surround the Shelf, so there isn't a huge bracket showing and cover the ends of fhe shelves all they look finished.

Very nice shelf kit
Rubber maid has a very nice and unique 2 tier shelf kit. Quality shelf surfaces for a high end look and for easy cleaning. The supports are sturdy and nice looking. Installation instructions are fine. Installation is much easier with 2 people. After installation the end caps dress up the shelves to add to the high end look. Comes with all the needed hardware too.

Strong and look good
I ordered these Rubbermaid shelves for some additional storage in the garage. You get everything needed for standard installation for two complete shelves. You can mount these in separate locations as they do not share mounting brackets. The shelves are dense 3/4 inch particle board brown mahogany laminate. The brackets are all heavy gauge painted metal (black). They measure 32 inches wide by 14 inches deep installed. The instructions are pretty clear for standard installation but what is inside your wall when you do the install will dictate what mounting method you use. I got lucky and was able to hit studs with both shelves in a stack. I placed them 15 inches apart. I used measuring tape, 2 foot level, drill motor/drill bit, and a Phillips screwdriver. I did pre drill my mount holes in the studs. They fit perfectly and went together easily. These are very sturdy. On one shelf, I have 5 individual gallon containers of lawn fertilizer with some other stuff and it has no problems. These are better than I expected.
