    A:  Hi Dawn, our Rust-Oleum Automotive Acrylic Lacquer is recommended for metal vehicle surfaces. Our Universal Gloss Clear may be applied over fiberglass, and it is a UV-stable finish.             Lacquer, acrylic, and enamel are all superior clear coats for electric guitars. But this stuff works ok. Not very high gloss without sanding, polishing, and waxing.
