Let's see what we can figure out Jody. For best results using Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint, apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart until the desired coverage has been achieved. If a second coat is necessary, recoat in under 1 hour or after 48 hours. Do not recoat after 1 hour or before 48 hours, and do not sand before recoating. Give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and work to make things right.

The Finishing Touch My Project Needed
I decided to paint my old chest freezer and give it a new life. I loved the colors I chose but it needed a clear coating to complete it.

    Excellent Spray Paint
I bought this paint a couple of weeks ago because my house was being painted and i wanted to use it on my exterior lights that were badly faded after being in direct sun for 16 years. Cleaning the lights took the most time…spraying with this paint didnt take long at all! The lights came out beautiful and we still have paint left over! Gonna knock the mailbox out next! I am no spray paint expert but i love this stuff!!

This color is the closest I could find to match the "Army Green" in spray cans needed to refurbish a helicopter at our local air museum. About half the cans had a weird problem in that they sprayed the green color, then for some reason the color changed to a creamy white color, then back to the green. I can't figure what's going on - temperature is okay, tried repeated shaking, different angles, short spray, long continuous spray with no luck. This requires repeated over spraying to get the color right. To compound the issue, none of the local Home Depot stores appear to be restocking. Several had none listed in stock, several had one or two listed. One store 23 miles from me said on line they had seven cans in stock - when I got there they had zero. I need about six more cans to finish the job, but am having trouble locating them.

Oh no, this is not what we like to hear. After vigorously shaking Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint for at least one minute once the mixing ball begins to rattle, and frequently during use, the color is typically excellent. Please give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.

first coat great. second coat bubbling up
I recently painted a metal frame the first coat went great and overall looked really well except I was a little light in one area. So I decided to give the whole frame a second coat and for some reason about half of the frame started bubbling up looking almost like snakeskin. Per the instructions I waited 48 hours for the second coat it fertainly was completely dry. TBD if I will be able to recover this with some sanding

Oh no, this is not what we like to hear Mike. Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint can be recoated in under 1 hour or after 48 hours (longer at cooler temperatures), do not sand before recoating. The second coat of Painter's Touch dissolved the film (skin) that had formed from the first coat, this is what causes wrinkling. Give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.

          Amazing!
Got this beat up, sun weathered sandbox looking BRAND NEW. The last time I spray painted it didn’t go well at all. Application was so easy. Amazing coverage. I’ve seen some negative reviews but I can say I really don’t have a bad thing to say at all. Used 1 can fully plus a bit from a second can (did 2 coats...but I’m not sure if it was necessary, the first coat covered so well). Time will tell as far as wear, but so far I am impressed!

            2X? Maybe not
The description implies 2 x the coverage. This satin heirloom white is a nice color for furniture but the coverage is not great. I used two full cans on this small cabinet which was previously stained. I cleaned and lightly sanded prior to spraying. In the photos you can see a cloudiness on the top surface which is an uneven sheen. I would never imagined this little cabinet would take three cans. I have currently given it 4 coats and it needs more to even out the sheen????? Love the color but not the number of coats this is taking.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Depending on the condition or color of the surface, additional coats of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint may be needed. If the surface is more porous, like unfinished wood, or it is a contrasting color, then a primer can be used to help with coverage.
